Ok, so first things first. This is not a luxury vehicle. In fact it has no luxury at all. However it gets you from point A to point B, and does so with comfort, reliability, and style. The MPG is pretty good, and the hand crank windows are a nice throwback if you have kids that like to play with such things in the back seat. The radio is a little quieter than you would prefer, but once again, it’s reliable, comfortable, and does its job. This is a car that is made for commuters, or someone looking for a very affordable car they can get with low miles without breaking the bank.
Story
My 7 year old daughter falling in love with the throwback hand crank windows.
Pros
The high points of this car is it has an attractive design, and is quite comfortable in both the front and back seats. For a small car there is somehow an almost “Tardis” like feeling as it is bigger on the inside. The trunk is spacious and fits plenty in there when you need it too. One of the best perks is the gas mileage. Personally I’m getting as much as 36mpg combined if I drive carefully with fair weather.
Cons
The low points are there are no bells and whistles. Hand crank windows, manual mirrors, no heated seats, no AC, weak (but reliable) engine, and the sound system could certainly be louder. Sometimes it is difficult to scrape ice off with a slow warming engine, and icy mirrors with no heater can be difficult to see through.

2007 Chevrolet Aveo - Cheap car, gets you where you need to go.

I purchased the Chevy Aveo in 2008. Was looking for a vehicle to replace my Jeep Wrangler during the spike in oil/gas prices. Its a good commuter vehicle. It is limited in quality of materials used and features. Despite that it has lasted me 7 years and 120,000 miles with few problems. Mostly steering bushings wearing out several times since I first bought it. Now at about 130,000 miles I had to replace the control arms. No problems with the motor or transmission yet. If you don't mind a bare bones vehicle it'll serve you fine. The back seats have very little leg room. It is a compact hatchback though. I'm usually riding alone back and forth to work. Decent gas mileage at about 33-35mpg non highway. Have not had an major issues. Only wear and tear replacement repairs. I beat the heck o... (more)
Story
I love flooring it and running it to the red line. Its a cheap car, why baby it, Vroom Vroom.
Pros
The gas mileage is between 33-35mpg so the cost to run it is low. The repairs have been cheap since the car is so basic. An overall cheap car.
Cons
The fabric on the driver seat started to tear after about 60,000 miles & the overall materials used for the interior are of low quality. No features, hand crank windows, manual door locks, only an AM/FM radio & no AUX input for stereo.
