I loved my Chevrolet Cobalt when l first got it. It has excellent mileage and was great on gas. I was amazed at how big the backseat was too be a 2-door vehicle. It had plenty of leg room, which most smaller vehicles do not have. I'll purchased the vehicle at used dealership in 2009. I paid $10,000 cash for it, and it had 8,000 miles on it at the time. In 2015 l started receiving recall notices on my Cobalt. The power steering was faulty, and the ignition switch was faulty. Along with 3 other recalls, for a total of 5 recalls on this car. Chevrolet stated that it was one of the worst problem vehicles they had every came out with. This included models from 2005 to 2010. The dealership was great about fixing these issues in a timely manner. It's funny because l never had any issues with... (more)
Story
I went to visit a friend at 2am during a snow storm and got stuck in a ditch. I was in my car for hours before l was rescued by a tow truck. I paint rocks and sell them for a living and had numerous rocks l had picked up in the woods, in my backseat and floorboard. Two local officers came along before the tow truck got there to assist and check on me. The officer looks at me and asks me why l ... (more)
Pros
Great on gas mileage. Spacious backseat. Comfortable.
Cons
Recalls after recalls. Unable to solve mechanical issues.

I like that it is fuel efficient and economical to drive. I like that I can fit the car into tight spaces, and that its silver color does not show very much dirt. I do wish that there were more space in the car and that it did not have the steering column recall that put it out of driving for a month until they could repair it. Overall though, this car was a perfect vehicle to have coming out of high school into college and was easy to refuel and afford regular maintenance on. However, I do wish that it held up a little better with time. I feel as though Chevrolet trucks are more hardy to time than their cars.
Story
I was able to take this car on a last minute quick weekend road trip to the beach, and I was able to do so with a small budget. We had a great weekend experience because we did not have to financially plan to drive anywhere.
Pros
This vehicle is very fuel efficient and was good for long trips with a small budget. I liked that it had USB ports and XM radio when I first got it, and I like that it has automatic windows and doors.
Cons
The main complaint that I have about this car is that it was not as sturdy as trucks I have had over time. It seemed to have lots of problems with less miles than other vehicles I have driven (read: It showed signs of age and wear much earlier than larger cars I have had). I also wish it had a little more leg room in the back seats.

Mike was a great salesman to deal with. He was friendly and helpful. No matter what we needed he did his best to help us out. He would go above and beyond for us. We were even at one point looking at buying a different car so he started looking for the exact car we wanted and found it. The car however didn't meet HIS standards so he started the search again.

The salesman listened to what I wanted and to what my issues were. He did not try to up-sell me and was very understanding and accommodating of the fact that I needed a new vehicle after wrecking my old one while in the midst of a family emergency. He also has not pestered me with a ton of follow-on calls.
