The reason we purchased this vehicle was for the economical gas mileage. In that respect it fulfilled its objective. In every other way, however, this car was a big letdown. This was supposed to be Chevrolet's answer to higher gas guzzling vehicles but unless you are 5 feet tall and weigh only 100 pounds, this car will seem like a coffin when you are driving it....It is NOT made for tall or fat people.
Story
This story is memorable...Funny now...NOT funny then. Because this car does not have cruise control and because I have a tendency to lay heavy on the accelerator when I chatter away to my passengers in the car, I ended up getting stopped for speeding. If that wasn't bad enough, I discovered upon receiving my speeding ticket (well, the officer was kind enough to point it out to me) that my driv... (more)
Pros
The Cruze does get good gas mileage, I'll give it that. It is easy to park, maneuver through heavy traffic, and starts reliably. It was relatively inexpensive. Everything else works like it's supposed to. Those are the best things I can say about it.
Cons
Where to start...The car is small. Really. Small. If you are tall or overweight you will feel like you are levering yourself into a coffin on wheels when you get into the car. The seats are uncomfortable and don't adjust very well. The trunk can only be accessed by using the button on the fob...And if you happen to bump the trunk button on the fob squeezing yourself into the car and it pops the trunk, then you have to put the vehicle in park, pry yourself out of the vehicle, go shut the trunk, and squeeze back into the car before you can be on your way. One of the fuel economy features is ... (more)

Overall, the car is pretty amazing. This is the first car that I purchased myself (my parents picked out my last car), so it was a great experience picking it out. I really like the way the car handles even in inclement weather. I also really like the overall size of the car. I can easily fit five adults in the car without a problem. I dislike the layout of the driver information center. The speedometer is on the right side, and the tachometer is on the left side, so when driving with your right hand, it is a little difficult to see the analog speedometer. There is a digital one in the middle, though.
Story
Honestly, driving it home for the first time was extremely memorable. Just the feeling of paying for my first car for the first time was very exciting.
Pros
My favorite feature of this vehicle is the gas mileage. I get about 35 miles per gallon on the highway. Even with my around town and city commuting for work, I can go roughly two to three weeks of work (10-15 trips back and forth) plus my grocery shopping running on about half a take of gas. I also love the fact that it comes with connectivity for Bluetooth devices and MP3 players. The OnStar navigation is a nice touch for long drives but isn't a necessity due to the cost.
Cons
Essentially, I mainly dislike the layout of some of the buttons and features in the car. The speedometer being on the right side is taking a little to adjust to. The center console is also behind the cup holders ,so it's almost impossible to rest your right arm on it while driving, if you have anything bigger than a soda can in the cup holder. I also wish the steering wheel adjusted a little bit more, because it's just not quite where I like it (enough that I notice it when I drive my old car and then the Cruze but not enough to drive me constantly crazy).
