With mileage up to 32 city / 41 highway the 2006 Toyota Corolla is a great pick for an attractive, reliable four-door sedan that gets great gas mileage and without sacrificing looks, features and style. Interior of the car is nicely finished with cloth seats, full carpeting, matching headliner, wood-like trim on the console and instrument panel, and a great quad-speaker sound system that includes a CD player and AM/FM radio. There also are a number of interior overhead/map lights which can be operated independently for driver/passenger ease of use. As with many earlier model Toyotas, running costs are very low and build quality is very high, especially if your able to find a vehicle that was manufactured in Toyota's Ontario, Canada Plant. The 2006 Toyota Corolla was available in a numb... (more)
Story
I had a 2001 Toyota Corolla which I put more than 200,000 miles on while under my ownership. When it came time to replace it, I looked for the exact same car down to the color which was five years younger, as I was so happy with the vehicle and have so much faith in the earlier Toyota vehicles.
Pros
Gas mileage, reliability, low cost of maintenance, resale value.
Cons
Ground clearance is typically low for a vehicle of this class/size which can be problematic in deep snow.

I really like this car, I bought it when I was graduating college and I have kept it for the past five years. It has been a solid mode of transportation. I have taken the car on several road trips and regardless of the types of roads I am on this car has stood up well. I am always impressed with how durable it is. If Saturn were still making cars I would be looking towards them when I go to purchase my next vehicle.
Story
My car has joined me on many picnics and when I use to work in the office I would pop the hood and during lunch eat in the truck of the car. It is large enough to feel like a big picnic. My husband and I have done this several times tailgating and it has always been incredibly fun.
Pros
This car is incredibly comfortable and roomy, I have plenty of space for myself and passengers. I have moved with the car a few times and each time I am amazed at the amount of things I can fit in my car. My 6'3" husband happy to drive my car and says it has plenty of head room. The car is incredibly durable in the five years I have had the car I have only needed to do basic work such as oil changes, tire rotations etc. I got the 6 cylinder engine and it has great pick up when I increase speed.
Cons
The vehicle is made out of a plastic exterior which tends to chip and get damaged easily. While I am an incredibly safe driver every time that the car touches something it gets scratched or dented. The car is very basic, even their is not a lot of bells and whistles, no rear back up camera, heated seats, blind spot detector, or satellite radio.

They are not a trustworthy dealership and lied about the deal. They were very friendly at the beginning, though.

Cheapest around, allowed me to get a different dealer to check it out. No issues.
