Tough as crap
The truck's engine was amazing. This thing took some major abuse from me. I never did the oil changes on time and this thing still works like a champ. It tows my boat with no fuss at all. It towed it up the mountains of TN. There can be something to desire about the gas mileage. Even on the highway it still drank the gas. It has 150k miles on it and still sounds like it has 20k. I have never had to change anything other than the alternator.

Great Work Truck
This is a great truck. I've been driving it for many years now and have very little problems with the truck. It is a great all around truck from daily driver, to a work truck hauling a big load. It has a comfortable amount of room for 2 people and maybe a smaller person in the back. I purchased the extended cab for a work truck and it works well for filling huge loads in the back. However, the cab is a bit small and carrying passengers can be an issue. If you are only carrying a few people it is fine. Only in recent years have I had some major issues with the air conditioning only turning on at 4 when 1, 2 and 3 do not work. There have not been too many mechanical issues other than oxygen sensors failing and the dealership not knowing what the issues were. It still runs great at almost 200k miles of working and going up and down the mountain. I live at 3,500 feet elevation and most of the work I do is down at sea level, so making the climb has put hard miles on the truck but it still is performing well. The 4 wheel drive is the main mechanical issue that failed at about 120k miles and I did not have the money or need to fix it at that point so I just drive it without the 4 wheel.
