Used Pontiac Vibe for Sale

I bought a 2005 Pontiac Vibe new off the lot just a few weeks before hurricane Katrina. My hometown was without power for about a week and I was immediately grateful for the home-style socket built into the dash... no phones otherwise! My experience with the car is very intimate as I drove it for 10 years on some of the most grueling commutes imaginable. I was easily putting 500 miles a week on the car at one point. It never complained, never acted out, but took me to and fro like a champ. That, I think, is the baseline of a great car. It is reliable and tough though the hatch-back form doesn't suggest such durability. The low profile racing tires are one of the few points of contention I have with the car; there was very little time between 'time to change the tire' and 'these tires are totally shot and too dangerous to drive on.' Moreover, the tires are not cheap to replace. Part of this is the sheer amount of driving I did, I'm sure. Later in the car's life, structural problem started to develop that would be difficult to fix. The engine mounts and balancing rod were starting to wear out. But again, I'm very surprised nothing happened sooner. After ten years of heavy use, I sold my still running 2005 Pontiac Vibe with 250,000 miles on it to someone who could expect it to keep going even longer. That car defines reliability in my book.

Overall, I love the feel, look, and general idea behind the car. It's nothing fancy but gets the job done. It is versatile, unique, and has a surprising amount of space. Mine is a manual and shifting feels very natural compared with other cars. The mileage had to get pretty high for it to start having any problems. I put a lot of weight in that car and it still performed great after a long time. The repairs were not too expensive, probably because the parts were all Toyota and easy to come by. I would definitely recommend this car to a friend, especially one that is considering buying a truck.

Buying the Vibe was the best choice I've ever made. This car is a great bang for the buck and has great gas mileage. I love the hatch back how much I can fit into the back. I've had this car for 7 years and have only had minor maintenance repairs. The only downside is the slow pickup (caused by the small engine that gives the great gas mileage).
