Bought it from my mother shortly after she bought it since she got a new car, and we've rarely had to take it in to the shop since we got it. Runs wonderfully, little issues with it in the large amount of time we've had it. AC has conked out, though may just need to be recharged, an the ABS tends to really jolt the car a bit if slowing down more quickly than average from fast speed, particularly on the highway. Also, the front bumper can scrape on curbs, have discovered that many times. Beyond that, very smooth running.
Historia
Fiancé was driving a bit tired to work one morning. The on ramp he used was under construction and he got too close to a cone and blew out our driver's side mirror. The casing was intact, just the glass got smashed out. Went to a junkyard, managed to get a new one for pretty cheap, but it still makes me laugh to the day.
A Favor
The look of the vehicle is nice and smooth, well rounded. Doors are easy to get in and out of. Easy to start up and get going, even in the winter. Seats are comfortable, have gotten many surprised compliments from passengers riding in the back. The cup holders both in the front and the pull down center piece in the back are wonderful as well, plus the ability to get in to the trunk from the pull down piece in the back seat too. The music controls are also wonderful, the bass in the car is nice for someone who is quite the bass lover in songs.
En Contra
The brakes can get a bit jolting after a bit of use. The bumper on the front is really low, so you have to be careful about parking too close to a curb in a parking lot since it will likely scrape on it pretty bad. The bass of the music in the car can really rattle the people sitting in the back seat, meaning you have to more often than not turn it down if you have passengers with you.

I purchased my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix used with 45,000 miles on it. Eight years later, the car has 130,000 miles on it, and it still runs great. The engine is quiet, and the ride has always been quite comfortable, no matter the distance. One downside is that the fuel economy at around 17 MPG city and 28 MPG highway is just so-so. Additionally, there are some performance limitations; the vehicle slides a little bit in the snow.
Historia
My spouse and I were driving to North Carolina during a rainstorm and our GPS brought us onto a road that frequently experienced flooding. Our Pontiac Grand Prix ended up getting stuck in about two feet of water, and everything in the car stopped working. We eventually had it towed to a garage where I expected the car to be pronounced dead on arrival. Our insurance approved some recommended re... (more)
A Favor
Even though this vehicle is a standard sedan, it has a striking body and resembles a sports car. It's a reliable car and feels big and comfortable. It's a fairly quiet car, and I am able to keep the radio at the same volume whether on a residential street or a major highway.
En Contra
This vehicle may look like a sports car, but it has the speed and performance of a mid-sized sedan. Merging onto a highway noticeably taxes the engine a little as the vehicle goes from 35 MPH to 65 MPH. Additionally, some of the stickers on the interior knobs including the radio started chipping shortly after I bought the car.

2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - Some cars try to do it all.

Buying a used car, you never can be certain what you're going to get. Sure, they have maintenance logs and a great driving record, but things beyond that come into play. I purchase this Pontiac from my banker, of all people. The only other car I had owned was a 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis, so I wanted something with an updated "feel" so to speak. Well, I certainly found it. With its windshield projected display, driver information panel, sun roof and heated leather seats, I was certain I had finally found what I was looking for. Seating for five and an enormous trunk in this sedan leave you plenty of room for anybody and any thing you could ever wish to take with you. Possibly the greatest test of this car was my spontaneous 1700 mile trip across several states and though mountains for ... (more)
Historia
I mentioned the 1,700-mile trip already, but something memorable nearby would have to be the time I got it stuck in the snow half a block from my house. We had had more snow than I expected, and I parked in the alley behind our house. Well, I started digging out half the alley by hand so I could drive away. I was getting pretty tired of shoveling, so I decided the rest of the way was flat, and... (more)
A Favor
Two features tie for my favorites: The projected heads up display and the sheer size of the trunk. It gets annoying at times, especially on the highway, to constantly glance down to monitor your speed. With it projected onto the windshield, you never have to take your eyes off the road.
En Contra
The one thing that frustrates me about this vehicle is the power steering. Had to replace it shortly after I bought it, and now it's waiting to have it replaced again. Whether that's just at faulty part or something else, who knows? It sure puts a damper on the joy of owning a vehicle.
