Great American car
This is one of those cars that's almost as American as apple pie. Pontiac is one of the companies you think of when you think of a modest quality car for a modest price. It's not big and fancy, it's not small and extremely fuel efficient. What it is... is reliable. Pontiac allowed much of the public access to a great, affordable, stylish car, with just enough pizzazz above the Grand Am. For the age of the vehicle I currently own, it has stood the test of time. The interior is still in great shape, the electronics all still work, the handling and ride feel of this car is impeccable. It sails smoothly down the road. The gas mileage is respectable at 28 mpg average between city and highway driving. For a car packing a powerful, six-cylinder engine, this is a great balance of ride versus fuel economy. The exterior is stylish and unique for when it came out. It was previously in a collision with a deer and for the amount of damage it could have sustained, it actually took it pretty well. There's the usual rusting out of the brackets underneath and brake lines that needed repairing recently, but you're going to see that with Midwest cars and with poor vehicle maintenance, which is no fault of the car itself. General Motors has issued a few recalls on this model due to intake gasket design flaws, so far, I've not experienced any adverse effects, and GM did foot the bill for the needed repairs. Overall, there's not much to complain about. It's a good solid, reliable car.

Great daily driver
This is an amazing car, it has just north of 215,000 miles and it still runs amazingly. As long as it is maintained as it should be it will run for a long time. It looks great, I have the two door model and love it. I love the heated seat on the drivers side. If I could change anything about this car, I would add a heated seat to the passenger side and a place for an auxiliary cord.
