The Tiguan is a small SUV. It is stylish and has a turbo engine which gives it a lot of pep. It handles well and is fun to drive.
Overall I am very impressed with my Tiguan. It handles well especially in snow. The body is tight (not tinny) as is the suspension. The Tiguan comes with many options but can also be purchased "bare bones". Being a smaller SUV, it uses less gas. The back seats fold flat for more cargo space.

Great first car
The car seems to be very well made. I have had my car for 70,000 miles and have had no issues to date. The only time I have had to take my car in to the shop was for my regular oil changes. Oil changes are much less than other cars I have had in the past. I believe my car only needs an oil change now every 10,000 miles; however, my car will alert me when an oil change is needed and will count down how many miles I have until its critical. The car is Bluetooth-enabled, which allows me to make calls in the car hands-free. I also use the Bluetooth functionality to play Pandora through my car speakers. I have had a couple of issues with the Bluetooth connectivity, but the issues I was able to easily resolve myself. Please note that these issues cannot be fixed while driving the car so I did have to pull over to make the fix. I really wish the car had some newer safety features like a back-up camera and lane assist; however, these were not available when I purchased the car years ago. Some convince add-ons like heated steering wheel and remote start would also be really nice to have if they had been available. The car has a smooth ride, even in the city where there is numerous potholes. Also, the four-wheel drive is great in the snow. There isn't a ton of extra bells and whistles on this car, but it is very reliable.
