Evansville, IN Driving Tips
Learn the city well so that you can find alternative routes to get around. The city is very spread out, so if you take main roads in town to get to various sides of the city it will take you a long time. Always take side roads or look for less congested routes.
Evansville, IN Buying Tips
Craigslist has a decent amount of users in Evansville, and if you're looking for a really cheap used car in Evansville, it is probably your best bet. However, there are many used car dealerships in Evansville, which take trade-ins and will finance. I have also heard that it is sometimes smart to make the short drive across the river to Henderson, Ky., Where the taxes make buying a car just a little bit less expensive.
Favorite driving memory
My favorite memory from driving in this city was from when I learned a quicker route to downtown. Usually, I would take the very busy Lloyd Expressway to get to the downtown area, but on this particular day, about five years ago, I found out that I could take I-64 south, wrapping around to the river front downtown. This saves me about 15 minutes on average. I was able to hop on the interstate and arrived at my destination in no time at all. Also, the speed limit is 70 on the interstate and only 50 on the Lloyd expressway, so I felt less pressed for time. Evansville is very spread out, so finding quicker routes from one side of town to another is crucial to any driver's experience being a positive one.
Favorite road
Burkhardt. Burkhardt is a crucial road on the East side of Evansville, where I live. It runs parallel to the busiest road on that side of town, which is called Green River Rd. Green River Rd is always congested and has too many stoplights. By taking Burkhardt, you can get to any of the businesses you usually would take Green River Road to access, but instead you have much less traffic.

Evansville, IN Buying Tips
I need to know the prices of the cars that the other dealers are selling. I want to compare all the dealers. I need to know the car that I am most interested in. I need to know my credit score, which bank offers the best rates, and how much my payment is gonna be. I do research online first. I compare rates at banks, then I visit the bank. Find out from them how much I should be giving for a vehicle. I also look at reviews for the dealers that have been left by other customers.
Favorite driving memory
My favorite memory from driving in this city is that it is where I started to drive. I learned how to drive here. I can remember my Dad taking me out and teaching me how to drive. We would start out in parking lots and work our way out onto side streets. It was fun. I learned a lot and had fun doing it. My dad was a good teacher. Later in life in school I would get to drive with my friends and we would cruise up and down the city. It was the days!
Favorite road
Green River Road. Green River Road is a awesome road. It is the original "main" road. It has a lot of businesses on it. You can get around the entire city on this road. It is well kept and the businesses on it are always well maintained. Traffic is not bad and it is easy to drive on. The flow of traffic on this road is so smooth.
