I have always loved the look of the Ford Mustang. She is truly an iconic car in American popular culture. I'm approaching 100,000 miles, and she's never handled better. She needed a new alternator last spring, but that's after more than a decade of use by three different owners.
Story
I took this car with me to Oregon for two years. It rained so much that I didn't have to purchase a carwash the entire time we were there.
Pros
A friend of mine jokes that this car's got some "birthing hips," but they don't flare out so far that they interfere with parking, even in lots with narrow spaces. The trunk is surprisingly spacious. I'm around six feet tall and long-waisted, but I've still got ample headroom.
Cons
The only cons I've found concern dealing with the Ford Motor Company. I've had numerous recalls associated with this vehicle, one of which Ford still doesn't have the replacement part for. I wish that Ford would get it together. Another is that the air intake sensor is overly sensitive and once triggered an engine shutdown because it sucked in a fly (not kidding!). I would definitely buy a Mustang again, but a classic model, if possible. Now that the inner mechanisms are computerized, there's so much that can go wrong that the home mechanic like myself simply can't repair. And you know any... (more)

Overall the Mustang is a fun car, as one would expect. While I just have the standard version and not the V8, it still has a bit of kick to it and I've never had an issue with acceleration. I've spent quite a bit of time in my car, whether driving to and from college or taking a nap on my lunch break. I find it comfortable, though others have complained about the cramped space. You certainly won't be driving more than one other person - I refer to the back seat as my "shelf." As for any mechanical issues, mine does have an odd quirk that may be attributed to the transmission. Occasionally, usually in the summer heat, my car will rev but not slip into gear. Also will buck when driving around 35mph. It hasn't happened often enough to diagnose or become a real issue, but it is something t... (more)
Pros
It's just a fun car to drive. Acceleration is good, braking is fine, handling isn't the best but I've never had a problem. Comfortable car.
Cons
Small space (though what do you expect from a sports car?), Seats don't sit upright, small rear windows make it difficult to see, gas mileage is poor.

We made a purchase couple months ago at a reasonable price. They were good with our concerns, but were very slow in processing the paperwork and made us wait a long time. Buying a car took the entire day. Saying that, they took care of us.

This dealership was a no hassle or high sales pressure dealer. We went in to look at a specific certified car, but it was already sold. The dealer went out of his way to find a compatible car. Ended up getting a newer car with much fewer miles and still under warranty. It was an easy experience, and we did this with a tired and cranky 9 month old infant.
