This vehicle is everything that I have ever needed or wanted. I have put it through the worst terrain, and it still runs and looks like a champ. I am an avid hunter, so it was important to me that the truck be able to handle mountain terrain. I have only had to make one major repair to the vehicle, and it was super easy to fix. The computer went out, so it would not start properly. The cost was reasonable; I've had no problems since.
Story
On New Years night, I slid off the road because of my own error. This vehicle was stuck in three feet of snow off of the the side of the road. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to get out. I dropped it into fourth gear low and this thing ripped out of there like it was nothing. I had never been so impressed in my entire life.
Pros
The vehicle is black and is a crew cab. I didn't want to get a four door as I had no use for it. The interior is gorgeous, and the center console folds up if needed. The pickup is very strong as well, and I have hauled many trailers and campers with it.
Cons
The cons of this vehicle were very, very minor. The first thing that I did once I got the vehicle was replace the radio. It did not have a spot for an auxiliary cord and I like to listen to my own music. Another con was the stripping on the doors was starting to come off, so I took weather stripping and sealed it back up. I have had no problems with that since. This is not so much for the vehicle, but it is black. Black is notorious for showing scratches, and I have taken it through some pretty rough areas. I have no major cons with this vehicle overall.

My GMC 4 Door pickup is the first pickup I have ever owned, Before the pickup I've always been a car girl! It took me a long time to figure out how to judge my distance and park in the truck, but it is sooo worth it! Everyone brags on my truck when they see it they talk ablout how nice it is inside and out! I Love the build of this model; some of the other years they were less square looking and this look really is the best! Not only does it look great on the outside, it has leather heated seats, memory seats, satellite radio, and much more including a internet hotspot! It comes in really handy for me since I own my own online business I can just carry my job with me wherever I go! The seats are very comfortable and the back seat has more then enough room for my grown children to have ... (more)
Story
when we watched the parade at Christmas from the tailgate.
Pros
leather Wi-Fi memory seats heated seats step in the back for the bed
Cons
doesn't have windshield wiper sensors doesn't have back up camera sensors big and hard to figure out how to park no heated side mirrors

I own this truck in brown and white with a camper topper. I used to use it to drive up to camp, but I haven't driven it in a bit. It's been pretty reliable. Four-wheel drive works nice in the snow. I like the older models with the bench seats, personally. I bought it to move across country. Has had some engine trouble along the way, but it's almost 30 years old. Has always started right up for me even in the coldest winter days, and that's saying something because of where I used to live.
Story
I drove it across country while sleeping in it. From South Dakota to Virginia and then all the way down to Key West. Had me a good time.
Pros
Big, tough truck with four-wheel drive and a manual transmission. Full- size bed and decent power for hauling. Camper top makes it a nice camping vehicle. If you want an old school pickup truck, this model is probably your best bet shot of a classic F-150, and people just aren't letting go of that model of truck anymore.
Cons
Boy, does it guzzle gas, and at this point, more than its share of oil, as well. It does not handle the greatest. The interior fabric was already shot when I bought this truck. I use blankets. Have your mechanic take a good look at the engine, if you buy one. I have heard they can seize up pretty badly in the later years, but I have been lucky so far. Did have to replace the starter which was not cheap.
