Biggest lemon on the market
I used to be a hard core Chevy, and General motors fan. I have owned Chevy vehicles since I was 14 years old. I say used to be because after owning this vehicle and dealing with the new quality of the General motors team, I will never buy another product of theirs again. The GMC Canyon was the worst vehicle I have ever owned. I bought it 1 year old with the certified like new guarantee. The dealership wouldn't honor the warranty, always looking for ways to bill me for their terrible workmanship. I have two cars, both of which can drive on snowy roads without getting stuck, better than this four wheel drive vehicle.

The best midsize truck in America
It is a well rounded vehicle. I have had it ten years and have loved every minute of it. I have had very little problems with it and I feel it is probably one of the best balanced vehicle I have ever owned. I have tried to get it stuck but it will not, in fact I have spent many winters pulling full-size trucks out of snow ditches. I have used the truck as a work vehicle for a lawn service and for a logging company and it has withstood everything I have thrown at it. She has some dents and scratches now but I cannot seem to let it go. I just hit 180k miles and the dealership still values it at over $5,000.00... Overall, an amazing purchase and I will definitely be getting another one.

It does the job
The truck looks nice and is comfortable enough. I've had small electronic issues with the truck almost since day one. There was a major ignition issue with it two years ago that cost about $900 to fix. The window motors have had to be replaced a few times. The gas mileage is not what I expected it to be (it's lower than what you would think a small 5 cylinder truck would seem to get). It is a small truck and my next vehicle will probably be a car just to have more room.
