I purchased the used truck to execute a household move to a new home 75 miles away. It easily towed a U-Haul trailer up a long incline, and although the bed was short because it had a crew cab, I could still fit a lot of cargo in the bed.
Story
We drove our truck cross country from Las Vegas to Atlanta to help a friend move. She paid for our gas during the trip and halfway through commented on how my truck was costing more in gas than her car. I pointed out the huge mound of household items piled in the bed was heavy and created air drag, plus I was hauling a trailer with her upright piano. Her car just had clothes and a dog. Of ... (more)
Pros
Good gas mileage (about 25 mpg). Good power with only a five-cylinder engine. Crew cab accommodates three passengers in the back. Crew cab makes the inside feel roomier with more space inside the cab. Driving is very comfortable when towing a small trailer (I towed one from Nevada to Georgia without any problems). Auto dimming rear view mirror is nice.
Cons
Sits low to the ground like a car, so visibility is not what I'm used to in a truck. Trim panels (decorative strips of rubber about six inches wide) came off due to exposure to desert temperatures after about a year. Center console is slotted for CDs, so there is a way to fit misc. items in it (poor design in my opinion). Absolutely zero room behind rear seats or extra items (e.g. cargo straps, jumper cables, etc. have to be stored on the floor in plain sight).
