I really liked the look of this vehicle, and have never regretted choosing it for my main transportation. I have been more than satisfied by the way it has performed for me since I bought it six years ago. I drive it daily to work, and on the weekends I use it to haul music equipment. I play a full-sized upright bass and by putting one of the backseats down and sliding the neck of the bass between the two front seats, it is a perfect fit. I think the gas mileage is very reasonable for a six-cylinder vehicle of this size. I only have to fill up the gas tank about twice monthly. The parkway which I drive daily has very short on- and off- ramps. My GMC Jimmy has the acceleration I need to feel safe when I am merging into traffic or need to get out of the way of another vehicle. I have onl... (more)
Story
I have loaded my upright bass, two guitars, amps, two dogs, and four band members into this Jimmy- we looked like a clown car when we unloaded!
Pros
*Reliable transportation *Good acceleration *Comfortable seats *Affordable *Excellent hauling capacity
Cons
*Plastic parts seem brittle *Tends to 'peel out' when accelerating on turns, though I kinda like that

My Jimmy is pretty old, so I know it is not going to work perfectly. I have a lot of problems with the car overheating. I have to add water and coolant in the radiator at least once every week. Other than that I like the it is still running and it is a durable car.
Story
I have taken my SUV on a road trip with my family. It was pretty fun.
Pros
Durable, turning abilities
Cons
Overheating, brakes, windshield is not even

The GMC Jimmy is just an average SUV, not many bells and whistles, but it does have some pleasant features to offer. The interior seating space is small and only seems to make the vehicle seem smaller. The interior of the vehicle is nice with a few good features, including a digital compass and a variety of overhead compartments. The vehicle has good pick-up and the vehicle drives fine. It has good pick-up. The vehicle also comes with four-wheel drive and automatic four-wheel drive, making it great for hard to reach areas and mudding. It has a lot of cargo space in the trunk. It has enough space to seat five people inside the vehicle. The front seats have adjustable lumbar support. The driver seat has fully automatic adjusters for perfect seat position. The gas mileage is about average... (more)
Story
I remember mudding in Michigan with this vehicle. We almost flipped over. This was my first time trying it, so of course, I was nervous. Lucky my friends knew what to do.
Pros
My favorite part of the vehicle is the storage capacity. The cargo room is enough to fit two full-size air conditioners and a Christmas tree. It has enough room in the back seat to fit to car seats and a booster seat but really cozy like. This vehicle comes with a spunky v6 engine. You can feel the power through your foot. It makes it great for four wheeling and getting through rough terrain. Being able to easily switch from two-hi to four-wheel low is made to be super easy. The vehicle has nice styling, it looks very good from the outside, and on the inside has many great features, inclu... (more)
Cons
While there are many good things about this vehicle there are also bad ones, including the fact that there is no passenger airbag, This can be a huge problem for people who us this as a family vehicle. It also has very poor passenger crash test scores. My guess is because there is no airbag. Safety should come first, and this vehicle just does not meet the tough standards set forth by the companies. The interior, while looking great, has small breakable plastic bits everywhere. My door is practically hanging on by two of them. Meaning I have to replace small bits here and there all the tim... (more)
