I bought this car because I needed to save on gas, but also didn't want to drive a slow, unresponsive car. My daily driver before purchasing this CRZ was an 04 Pontiac GTO so this car had some serious power to live up to. I was already partial to the CRZ because my family has owned a CRX in the past and I absolutely loved that vehicle. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well the CRZ has worked out for me. I currently don't have children, and am usually the only person who rides in my car, so being a 2 seater wasn't a deal breaker for me. I drive my CRZ hard and average about 300 miles in a week on 1 tank of gas. That's about the same distance I could get in my GTO, however, its about 8 gallons and 30 bucks less than the V8 gas guzzler. The only downer for me at the moment is that... (more)
Story
My best friend and I took a road trip from Phoenix, AZ to San Diego, CA. I think I used maybe a tank and a half that entire trip, including the drive there and back. Saving on gas allowed us to do a couple extra things while we were there.
Pros
The MPG is great on this little car. It has a 10 gallon tank and gets an average 300 miles. I have spoken with people who have gotten better gas mileage than that, however, I will admit that I am a pretty aggressive driver when it comes to throttle and that is why my MPG is less. This car has a pretty good response to the gas pedal for being a hybrid. Sometimes I forget I'm not in my sports car.
Cons
My biggest complaint is that it does not come with Sirius XM from factory. However, the dealerships do have the ability to install it after the fact. Also, this car only seats 2 people. The US versions of this car only got cubbies for back seats, while the Japan versions actually got seat cushions.

The Honda CR-Z is a sporty little car that can reach 60 mph within a matter of seconds. It's fuel efficient and gets a lot of attention from people oogling it. It's fast and small, which can be a bit misleading for people who try to parallel you, box you in, or just keep you from merging onto the interstate. The seats are comfortable when adjusted properly. Cruise control makes it easier to watch speed and gas performance. Overall, it's a nice little car with only a few design changes I would ask for.
Story
It's great for driving around in. I recently drove it out to the country about 30 miles from our house and just zipped around the countryside and didn't feel bad because we didn't waste that much gas.
Pros
This car has great gas mileage in the city! You can go a few weeks before refueling the 10-gallon tank since it's a hybrid. My last car was a traditional motor, and I would have to fill up a 15-gallon tank once a week. And even though it is a small car, you can reach top speeds and it doesn't shake or feel like it's vulnerable.
Cons
The gas mileage on the highway is just as bad as a regular vehicle, except if you are in traffic where you start and stop a lot, then it seems to stretch more. But on the open road at 60-70 mph the gas mileage is a little less. Another con is that the "back seat" area, which would typically be a small bumper seat isn't there, but the space for it is, which is a bit strange. An additionally con is that the speaker system is absolute crap.
