A great city driving, stuff hauling car
It is the most convenient grocery getter I have ever owned. The hatchback is perfect for stowing stuff easily. It's a small car that easily navigates city streets, and small parking stops. It gets great gas mileage. It has an mp3 usb attachment making the otherwise lackluster stereo rather enjoyable. The biggest con would be that it is a little stiff driving. It probably keeps it nimble, but you feel the bumps a little more than I would like. Another small complaint would be that the slope of the windshield means more scraping in the winter when it snows or frosts. It isn't going to win any races, but it is reasonably snappy with the first 3 gears being so close together. It has enough power to get onto the freeway but won't be exhilarating by any means. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient, reliable, city car. Of all the small economy cars from this year I think that the Honda Fit is the best bet of all of them. It is not the cheapest, but I think the Honda reputation for reliability will make it easily worth the small increase in cost over the other available vehicles in this price range.

2009 Honda Fit Sport
If you need a small car for tooling around town or for commuting, a Fit is a great way to go. Good gas mileage and great maneuverability makes it a value buy. True, your feeling of masculinity will suffer, especially if you get a powder blue model, but a stiff dose of scotch will bring that back. Pretty decent snow car and easy to slide around corners.

Overall Adequate
I bought the car without test driving it because I had owned a Honda Civic previously and it seemed quite similar. I have always owned manual cars and I really enjoy driving them. I find hatchbacks preferable because I move a lot of larger items around. The space, comfort and technology in the car is fairly good. I like that you can plug your phone in directly and play music. The seats are comfortable and I am satisfied with laying down the seats in the back. The main thing I do not like about it is unfortunately very important, which is the feel of the driving. The clutch has always been very testy and hard to drive, even friends that have driven it say the same. I can accelerate well and I have to change gears very quickly. My old car was much smoother and enjoyable to drive. I also don't like the visibility, the windows are strange and seem to actually hinder my sight.
