I LOVE THIS JEEP
The 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport is a classic. It has THE classic, sought after straight-6, 4.0 liter engine that is considered Chrysler's great engine. It is torqued so tightly, it can accelerate on hills and blow the door off any car or SUV that isn't sporting a $50,000 price tag. These engine typically get well past 400,000 miles. I am just about at 200,000 and have had no issues with the engine or transmission. The jeep is comfortable to ride. And one thing that I consider a priority over everyone's newer designs is the minuscule blind spot. Every great car design included making the smallest blind spot conceivable for a particular body design. Now, with the wedging and pinching of the back ends of cars and SUVS and their tiny rear windows, it is impossible to survey the road just by using your mirrors and a turn of the head. I find driving newest "more innovative" designs a bitter disappointment, even amongst newer Jeep vehicles. The Jeep Cherokee Sport up until 2001 is a classic design, with a solid past. The vehicle weight is heavy, but the engine torque more than makes up for that. The seats are comfortable and quite frankly, it's a jeep that looks like a Jeep. Which is why I am never surprised when people approach me numerous times a week, either driving by my house or approaching me in parking lots to sell them that vehicle.

This was the first car I ever owned and it was a cash purchase that my father helped me by. This car is very durable, I've put this vehicle through a lot and it still runs the same after all these years. It's not very pretty to look at but that didn't discourage me from getting it and I'm glad it didn't. There is plenty of space on the inside of the car it's very roomy especially in the back but also for the driver, I'm a big dude so this was a pleasant surprise for me. It easily drives in rough weather conditions, rain, snow, mud I never had any issues taking this vehicle just about anyway. The interior is rather plain and has begun to crack over the years though I'm sure with better maintenance this wouldn't happen. The driver seat belt feels great it's not in an awkward position. It turns easily and is quite agile for a vehicle that at a glance looks like a block. It's high enough off the ground you don't have to worry about potholes doing more than tire or wheel damage and it has never gotten stuck in any terrain for as long as I've owned it. It's also got enough space and some for when I go grocery shopping or shopping in general. This car for all of these reason is my go to for just about any outing it's just too good not to take.
