Used Jeep Grand Cherokee for Sale

The Jeep is well-built from top to bottom. It's a very attractive car and has stood the test of time. It still looks brand new after a few years. We had a few issues when we first purchased the vehicle (lightly used), but since then, we have had no issues. It's a great car for a road trip - gas is surprisingly better on highways than older models, and has a huge tank. The steering wheel rattles a bit when going between 65-75 mph, and I've had occasional trouble switching from regular to snow setting when weather isn't great.

This is the first Jeep I have ever purchased. I would personally purchase another Jeep. But I have several complaints. I love the interior design, the feel and the space that my car gives me. But I have had several problems with this vehicle that I have never had with another car. Every single window regulator for every door in my car has malfunctioned once or more. I have also had issues with a few sensors. I do not like the radio that came with the car I personally felt that they could have installed a better version. Besides that I am looking forward to purchasing another Jeep in the future.

I purchased this car used in 1998 when I was doing an IT job that required me to be able to get to the data center in any kind of weather. We had had a couple of very bad, icy winters, and I polled some people who owned one, and they were very satisfied with its performance in snow and ice. I was totally in love with the thing, it was white with gold trim, limited edition, all that good stuff. It really was very stable in weather and I felt secure driving it, but beyond that it was a nightmare. The thing cost a fortune to run, nothing really prepares you for what 11 mpg means (and this was back in 1998 when gas prices weren't anywhere near where they are today), and a short trip to the local grocery store would result in the gas gauge being noticeably lower. The thing degraded electronically, and everything was mediated by circuits instead of mechanics, so it was expensive to repair. I remember when the rear right door stopped functioning, and they wanted $268 for a "door locking actuator." Whatever that is. Alarm system crapped out, and they were never able to repair it properly (at the dealer), nor even to rip it out thoroughly. From time to time it would just go berserk and lock the car completely so that I couldn't start it, had to have it towed. Total nightmare, I eventually gave it away to Purple Heart.
