This is the second Jeep Wrangler that I have owned. The main theme for this review is practical ruggedness. What I mean by that is the new Jeep Wranglers, particularly the Trail Rated series, are rugged enough to make the owner feel comfortable and safe driving in various road conditions, without A: breaking the bank (when compared to vehicles such as Land Rovers or Range Rovers) and B: without sacrificing in gas mileage. The previous Jeep Wrangler that I owned was a 1998 model. While the older model was safe, the gas mileage was terrible. With the recent model, gas mileage is great, I don't feel as if I have to take out a loan to afford fuel. One negative that I have heard and was dreading to experience was the fact that the seals on the removable top may leak after heavy rainfall. So... (more)
Story
Getting to drive it home after purchasing!
Pros
1. Rugged 2. Affordable 3. Safe 4. Good gas mileage 5. FUN!
Cons
1. Blind spots on the Unlimited 4 door edition 2. Potential to leak (although I have not experienced this myself. 3. Lack of power doors and windows on the Sport edition.

This is my first Jeep Wrangler, I am now kicking myself for waiting to so long to buy one. This vehicle keeps it's resale value, which is very rare these days. The road noise is very low, in comparing it to my mother's Honda CRV it is actually quieter with the hard top option. It is fun to drive and you are not only buying a vehicle you can hand down generation to generation, but one that is fun to drive on a daily basis. The only thing I am bummed about is the sales person talked me out of buying a standard transmission. Also, currently women drivers account for over 60% of wrangler purchases.
Story
Well, I haven't had it long....But my mom asked to borrow it so she could make it to work...The creeks were over the roads. Had to explain to her the responsibility of driving a jeep when you pass another jeep. Buy one....You will figure it out quickly...Lol
Pros
Road Noise it really low compared to other SUV's. All of the console controls and glove compartments are easily accessed, as I have short arms. The directions and process to remove and reinstall the roof panels are very easy to follow.
Cons
Not sure it is a con, but it has taken me a long time to get used to the window controls bring in the center front console vs. being in the doors.

The car is made to be beaten up. It loves to take punishment and asks for more. It has enough room for the family and all of our equipment for adventures. The car is perfect for a family who likes to spend time outside and push the limits of existence.
Story
I took the truck off road when I was camping. The kids wanted to fish, but the closest river was about 3 miles away. Instead of walking, I drove the truck and it was really fun. I was able to drive right up onto a rock looking over a waterfall. We just had to step out and fish. When we were done, we just loaded up into the truck and left.
Pros
The car is made for the outdoors. It is rugged. There are many features, like the drivetrain, that lend themselves to aftermarket parts. It is a car that will lure you outdoors and into adventure. Just seeing this car makes me want to go hiking or kayaking.
Cons
The car is made more for off-road travel than on the road. It does not have the best ride of any SUV I have ever driven. That is too be expected from a car with all-terrain tires and a Rubicon trim kit. I did no expect the luxury of a Land Rover.
