I have every intention of handing down my current Jeep to our son in three years, and purchasing another. I am so impressed with the four wheel drive. We live in Wisconsin, so I need that to be top notch! The gas mileage is great, around 22 mpg with my 10 mile drive to town. There is plenty of room for taller people in the back to be comfortable, and plenty of room to load stuff for a trip. We took this Jeep on a trip to Florida (when it was three years old) and had no issues whatsoever. There are no strange noises, and the interior has held up quite nicely for all we put it through. We love driving with the tops off, and love how easy they are to take off and put on. The locking consoles help out with that quite a bit. You definitely feel the pull on a windy day, but that happens with... (more)
Story
When we went to Florida for the first time, we had no idea what to expect. We decided to take the Jeep on this trip. When we got there, it was awesome to see that most of the locals drove Jeeps, all with the tops off. As soon as we got to our condo, we took the tops off the Jeep and cruised down the streets. It was pretty great to feel like "one of the people" just because we drove a Jeep. And... (more)

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a wonderful vehicle. This vehicle is not only hearty, it is also fun to own. With the Freedom hard top, you get the joy of being in the sun and wind without having to take the entire top off of the vehicle. The front two panels easily store in the cargo area so you are never going to get caught in a rain shower. The Wrangler Unlimited will guarantee to keep you safe. Not long after owning mine, I rear-ended another car. While I did a decent amount of damage to the back bumper of the other car, my Jeep's bumper only had a small crack that is basically unnoticeable. The car has yet to have any kind of issues, which is what I expected.
Story
The first winter that I owned my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we received fifteen inches of snow in one day. Taking that beast out in the snow was so much fun. I have never felt safer in a vehicle.
Pros
The most positive aspect of the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is that I know that I can just get in it and go. I don't have to worry about the reliability of the vehicle. Coming in at a close second is the fact that the vehicle is an absolute joy to drive. It is basically a convertible SUV that has amazing acceleration. When the sun cools off and the winter months roll around, I know that my Jeep will get me wherever I need to be, no matter what the weather is like outside.
Cons
The biggest con of the vehicle is that I only get about 16 mpg. However, if you are looking for good fuel mileage you aren't even considering a Jeep.

I purchased my 2010 silver Jeep Wrangler in May 2010. I have yet to have any problems with the car. It has 56,000 miles on it currently. The only real maintenance it has required is regular oil changes and tire rotations. I wish they offered the leather interior in 2010. I have the cloth interior which is more difficult to clean. I would highly recommend getting both a soft and hard top for your jeep wrangler because they are very easy to cycle between.
Story
I have taken the top down and driven down to the beach in Florida with friends from Chicago. It makes the ride very enjoyable. Having this car in a warm location would be super fun. Its a great car to take vacations with.
Pros
My favorite thing about this vehicle is the ability to switch the hard and soft top. I like the appearance of the hard top and have to use it in the winter to deal with snow. However, I like having the ability to exchange it in the summer for a soft top that you can easily put down in the summer. I also have had nothing but positive experiences at the jeep dealership. The employees are always helpful and go above and beyond what they need to do to make sure you enjoy your car.
Cons
My soft top is starting to get slightly ripped. Another con is when you want to use your soft top you have to store your large hard top somewhere. The car is not very fuel efficient. Since the car is box shaped the windshield is at a more vertical angle. This has resulted in more cracked windshields in my experience.
