All and all, this was a great mid-sized vehicle. It drove me back and forth to work for the past 14 years. I used it every day regardless of the weather and always felt safe to drive. It has had very little maintenance issues and has been very reliable. I also used it to take three kids to the sitter and to school while two of them were in car seats and had diaper bags. It looks good and was comfortable. The stereo was easy to use and sounded great. It is a great vehicle for fun family trips like camping and fishing. It is also great for just day to day driving to and from work. The seats would also lay back if you needed to pull into a rest stop and take a nap. It has leather seats and gray trim. The seats adjusted easily and had seat warmers which are amazing in the cold, damp winter... (more)
Story
When my daughters were little, we would drive about an hour away to a family Christmas Eve dinner with family. On the long way home, they would want the sun roof open to watch for Rudolf and Santa's Sleigh.
Pros
The pros are that it is a good looking vehicle and easy to drive. It is also fun to drive. The seats adjust easily up and down and back and forth. It has a great seat warmer. The sunroof is fun on beautiful days and has never leaked or been an issue. It also opens or shuts with just a push of a button. It was awesome to have the radio on and the sunroof open. The car displayed the temperature. It also said the pressure of your tires which was nice to know if you needed to put more air in them. It also told you when it needed an oil change or maintenance. You can also adjust the side mirror... (more)
Cons
The cons to the Jeep Liberty is that the trunk area is a little small. If you are a family going on vacation do not expect it all to fit in the back. You will have to utilize the top rack and make sure it is covered or waterproof. Also the leg space in the front needs to have just a couple more inches to make it more comfortable for men that are taller than six feet three inches. The heater vent also seems to be more concentrated on the passenger side floor. Someone seating there will actually feel their feet burning while the driver will still be feeling chilled. It could also use more cu... (more)

2008 Jeep Liberty - So much nicer than the "mom van" I had before this.

I test drove this car, and the Lexus 250IS before deciding to buy the BMW. The Lexus was "nice" but nothing special, and both cars were well-made and reliable, both with good estimated resale values. After driving the Lexus, my husband and I went to the BMW dealer to drive this car. The styling, the sound, the similar price, the 4 maintenance plan offered, and ESPECIALLY the driving experience made the BMW the obvious choice. In my price range, it really is the Ultimate Driving Machine.
Story
I always felt invisible in my van, and now, driving the BMW, it's interesting that people comment on what a nice-looking car it is. Also, at 4 way stop signs, I am given the right of way much more than half of the time when another driver and I reach the intersection at the same time, travelling on perpendicular streets. When I drove the van, other drivers would often ignore my vehicle and jus... (more)
Pros
PROS: I even though this car is now 6 years old, the styling is still very modern, and the newer models of this car still look very similar. I prefer the styling of my car though, because the newer models look a bit more conservative. Especially after driving a Toyota van for 9 years, I find this to be a really fun car to drive. I have the 328i, not the 335i, which is good because I think the extra power would probably get me in trouble (speeding tickets). As it is, the car has plenty of power to quickly accelerate getting onto the freeway, has nimble handling, and even with 4 passenger... (more)
Cons
CONS: The gas mileage could be better. I average 18-20mpg, while this model vehicle years 2012 and later average about 24mpg for the same type of driving. The car is a bit noisy inside - but it is a sport model vehicle, not a luxury vehicle. The car has run-flat tires, which are noisier than standard tires. (They are also more expensive to replace, and I have had to replace them after about 20,000 miles of driving. Side and rear visibility is much better than the other car I considered purchasing (a Lexus 250IS - horrible visibility out the side and back, even with a camera/navigatio... (more)

I absolutely loved this car and it was by far one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Not only was it great in the ice and snow but I drove this car with high miles and it never really gave me any trouble. It was extremely reliable and I believe I only had to take it to the auto shop once. It was purchased as a used vehicle and I finally turned it in for my current lease after 180K+ miles. I would highly recommend any Jeep vehicle to my friends and family since I live in New England and we can have very snowy winters. I think the interior could have been more luxurious, however I did own the Sport which may not have been the high end model in its class. I will continue to purchase or lease more Jeep vehicles in the future. Perhaps the only thing about the car that I disliked was th... (more)
Story
I took this vehicle down to Saqitch which is a private beach and it had no problem going through the sandy road down to the beach and driving on the actual sand. A very versatile SUV
Pros
I loved the way this car handled and could take on any dangerous road conditions. As I mentioned before, this is an important feature in a vehicle since I live in an area that can have icy and snowy road conditions. It was an overall fun vehicle with a basic functioning interior and comfortable seats. It also had a fair amount of storage space in the back, although I am a single woman and don't use much cargo on a regular basis.
Cons
The interior was rather basic and the dashboard did not offer many luxury features.
