Enjoyable and fun
I owned a Jeep liberty Limited Edition from 2006-2009. I really enjoyed the look of the car (Tan with silver trim), and also enjoyed how it drove and its dependability. Living in Michigan, it was important that the car could drive easily in snow, which it did. I also thought the compact size of the car was great, as it still retained enough room inside to store what I needed and offer a comfortable ride. I thought the car had a very nice, high quality feel to it, starting with the leather seats and way it handled when driving. Everything felt like it was quality, and the gas costs were fair, though I did wish it got a few more miles to the gallon. It never had to go in the shop and was very reliable when I needed it to be. Overall, the car was fun to drive and could get up to speed surprisingly quickly. I felt very safe driving the car and it performed well in the winter months when that was especially important.

Great on and off the road but has some faults
The 2006 Jeep Liberty is a good car if you want a vehicle that has good 4x4 driving and not want something more rugged looking. It has 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD low. The limited edition model comes with many more features than you would find in the base models of the Liberty. With a reliable v6 engine, you will have no problems racking up over a 100k miles with little to no issues as long as you perform regular maintenance on it (oil change, etc.).

Strong SUV
This jeep has held up very well under less than ideal conditions. It has been driven heavily in rural areas, including some off road use. With minimal maintenance this vehicle has performed almost flawlessly. I have added a two inch suspension lift and larger size all terrain tires. While the lift and larger tires have negatively affected fuel mileage, it is only slightly. This vehicle has travelled up and down the east coast and has performed admirably in all weather conditions. Because the vehicle has a high weight it performs well in the snow and slush even with lower quality tires.
