This vehicle is high quality and a comfortable ride. At almost 30,000 miles in two years, we spend a lot of time in the vehicle and it has held up to our cross state trekking. It can be a good commuter car but also a good long distance traveler that fits multiple people comfortably. It comfortably fits 5 people for a small trip, though I would not want 5 people in the car going a long distance. 2-3 people and luggage works well for longer distances. Such a perfect car that I can't wait to turn it in to get a newer model year version when my lease expires.
Story
Putting two dogs into the car after leaving a mud pit of a dog park. I had just purchased my seat covers thankfully but the two dogs still decided shaking mud everywhere and foot prints on the door was a good idea. I got a good laugh at them before realizing I had to clean it all up.
Pros
This vehicle is perfect for a couple with a medium size dog. We can fit any luggage or stuff we have to travel with, sit ourselves comfortably, and still give the dog complete room to stretch out. No major noises through this many miles. The vehicle has held up well. The 3.2L engine has great pickup and fulfills my inner speed demon.
Cons
A downside to the vehicle was being required to get the tan colored seats. The color shows everything, so anything from dog hair to dirt and even just daily use show up too well in this car. I am constantly vacuuming and have had to invest in specific seat covers to keep this from being a major problem.

I have owned two Jeep Cherokees in my life. I have loved the cars very much. The design of the car is near perfect. You can see out of every window and there are no huge blind spots. The car is also large enough on the inside where you don't feel cramped, while maintaining small enough exterior dimensions where you don't feel like you are driving an aircraft carrier. You have good visibility with the elevated seating as well. There are two noticeable problems with the car that I've found. One, the type of suspension the Cherokee has, called a track bar suspension. This style of suspension leads to what is known as the "death wobble". After years of wear, the suspension system combines to be very fragile, where if you're going at elevated speeds and hit a bump, the entire vehicle will s... (more)

One time I drove it to Florida. It was perfect.
Pros
Great room inside, high visibility, small dimensions
Cons
Easy to steal, poor suspension design

If you are looking for a new SUV, this is a great choice! The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is an exceptional vehicle with many great features. It is made of great quality and has a fantastic appearance. I have not experienced any issues with this vehicle since leasing it over a year ago.
Story
One time I had to cross over a curb to get out of a long like of traffic and did it with a breeze. In the past I have had trouble with being able to do this with low profile tires.
Pros
I love the appearance of the Jeep Cherokee. Very aerodynamic body structure and sporty style. I have the orange color, Mango Tango, and absolutely LOVE it. I have had MANY compliments on the Jeep since buying it. I have the Trailhawk edition so it has many great features including tow hooks on the front and back of the vehicle. It also has a navigation system which helps out a great deal. The heated/cooled leather seats are a great feature and used often.
Cons
A con would be that I do not get as good of gas mileage as my previous vehicles. I also have experienced a little rattling noise in the front passenger side of the Jeep I have not been able to find. I have also received notification of two recalls that have been issued. Another con would be the start/stop feature. When sitting at a stop light or stop sign, the engine will shut off with your foot on the brake and start again when you release it. This causes a delayed reaction with the vehicle moving.
