When you think Jeep you expect the ability to handle any terrine. The Liberty SUV Sport is no exception! From the beach to the mountains it can handle anything on and off road. Approaching 70,000 miles and not a rattle. The pickup speed is much better then expected and the ride. The ride is smoother then most SUVs of its kind. The only possible con would be that it isn't great on gas. Gas prices are low and I spend about $10-15 to make a 23 highway mile trip to work, roundtrip not one way. Half a tank on average runs about $20-25. The interior can and has been put to the test and survived with flying colors. Despite the wear and potential for stains or rips I am happy to report it still looks new. I even cleaned dried on exterior house paint odd the console and interior door panels wit... (more)
Story
It was raining bad, I mean ridiculous bad. There was flooding and cars pulled over all over. The boys had a hockey game and 3 of my son's teammates were stuck because cars wouldn't cut it. I got them all in the car with all the gear and made it with no problem. We pulled up, counted to 3 and all got out. I slung each bag and all the sticks out straddling a monster puddle and got them all in th... (more)
Pros
The size, durability and how well it drives. Consistently exceeded my expectations.
Cons
Gas consumption.

This is my 3rd Jeep, but my first Liberty. I needed something with an available 4WDL so my choices were limited, but I really liked the dealership and I liked my previous Jeeps. I also wanted leather interior, automatic transmission and power locks and windows. I only had a short test drive, and wasn't able to drive it on a 4WD road, but it seemed to be what I needed and the price was right for the options I desired.
Story
Because it's an SUV and has 4WDL, I was able to take a group of us to a concert on a steep gravel road that no one else's car could get to.
Pros
It has 4WDL, which is very hard to find in an SUV. It has power windows and locks, leather interior, sunroof, cruise control, intermittent wipers, a rear wiper and neutral colors for a decent price. Although I didn't know it at the time, it has been incredibly reliable. I also like the way it looks.
Cons
It doesn't have much power. It has a smaller engine than the Wrangler, which I traded in, but it's a heavier car. I had to put it into 4WD in places where I normally wouldn't have needed it and I got stuck twice in snow (even with 4WDL engaged) that I know my other 2 Jeeps would have gotten out of. It also has a cheap feel to the interior.
