I have always liked Jeeps so perhaps I am a bit biased as I grew up with my grandfather driving one. However, I truly feel they are still one of the best cars made in these current times. The body of the car is quiet literally like a rock, it is made of steel with metal bars for the front and rear bumpers. The car can take a serious beating in off-road and on-road adventures. Buying the Unlimited I wanted a lot more space then the typical Wrangler. I even removed the back seats to give the entire back a completely open feeling and modded it to make it even. That is one aspect of the car that I truly enjoy, is the freedom that it can be modded so much. You can literally change everything about this car and it will work. Want a CB? Add it. Want a new solid steel bumper with winch? Add it... (more)
Story
I think one of the most memorable times in my car was going over a dangerous mountain pass in the high Rockies of Colorado. I wanted to take a trip where my wife and I could be alone, 14,000 feet elevation and a small one lane rocky dirt road later we had a view of all of Boulder, CO and Estes Park. We were utterly alone in solitude surrounded by nothing but a high planes meadow, wild flowers,... (more)
Pros
The pros of this car for me would be that with some decent tires you can even with stock take this car in back country and off road. The four-wheel drive (low and high) is great for forging rivers, mountain terrain, grass lands, mud, and even some basic rock crawling. It's incredibly easy to mod the car on your own. It is not only a hobby but opens your view of the world being able to find more places to go. The body is very solid, the car itself is heavy and, unless you're speeding, it wont tip. I bought it new as a 2015 and have over 60,000 miles on it. It's still going strong. It is ver... (more)
Cons
While there are many great things about this car, it does have some down sides. One is the gas, I get about 21 mpg on highway and about 14 mpg in the back country. It also has a tendency to run hot. This isn't a problem if you're willing to invest in an aftermarket cooler or an open hood. Tires are expensive, mods are not cheap, but these are not things that everyone has to consider. Possible con: This is NOT a luxury car, it is NOT smooth driving like a Toyota or sports car. It's meant for rough living, not curb parking, it does not have an amazingly luxurious inside, it is meant to get... (more)

I went from an '02 VW Jetta to a brand new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. The build quality is amazing. I really think the Jeep is indestructible. It feels solid in all conditions. There are no noticeable squeaks or squeals from anywhere. The Jeep will take me anywhere and everywhere I want to go. The confidence of having 4 wheel drive at the flick of a lever makes sure that I can go through any on-or-offroad conditions. I have yet to get it stuck, and I've tried several times. The interior is a bit rough, but that's what you expect when you get in a Jeep. The interior is mostly plastic, but it doesn't feel cheap. The cloth seats are easy to clean, and the removable carpet makes it easy for cleaning up spills, or sudden rain storms when you don't have the top on. The Unlimited pro... (more)
Story
My oldest dog was sick, so to mark things off her doggy bucket list and to make her last days with me a blast, we drove around every night without the top and doors on. She loved it and had the biggest smile on her dog face. Turns out, she wasn't sick, so to keep her happy, we continue to take night drives a few times a week.
Pros
My favorite feature is being able to take the top and doors off. It really enhances the driving experience driving down the freeway with no doors or roof over your head. I also love that my three dogs love to ride in the car. Often times, my wife and I will load up the dogs and go for a drive around the neighborhood, just for the sake of going for a drive.
Cons
The gas mileage is a negative aspect of the vehicle. I usually average 17 mpg, but luckily I live a short distance from work. The low mileage really prohibits us from taking the Jeep on longer trips.
