I have been highly satisfied with my vehicle. I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have owned my Jeep for seven years. I purchased my car when I was a freshman in college and needed a new car fast. I ended up getting a good deal and purchased the car when it was ten years old and had 108,000 miles on it. I have had very minimal problems with the car in the seven years I have owned it. I have not had any major problems or repairs. I like that Jeep parts are very easy to find, and I never have a really difficult time getting things repaired. I have been in four accidents in my car (all slightly minor), and it had held up well. I have not had much damage, and I know the vehicle is made of good, strong materials. I like the amount of space I have and the quality materials on the inter... (more)
Story
One memorable experience I had in this vehicle was driving to Canada with my sister and my nephews. We were in the car for 12 hours and had so much fun. We played road trip games, listened and sang along to music. We even put down the back seats and made a bed in the back to take a nap. It was the perfect car to make a long road trip in, and I would definitely do it again.
Pros
Some of the pros about my vehicle is that it is over 17 years old and is in better condition than most of my friends' and family member's cars. Jeeps really do last a long time. I am pretty rough on cars. I drive many miles and have kids and dogs and food inside my car. The quality materials make my life easy, because I can do pretty much whatever I need to do with my car, and it stays in nice condition.
Cons
Some of the negative things about my vehicle are to start, the gas mileage. I drive many miles and travel a lot. I dislike how low the miles to gallon ratio in this vehicle is. I also dislike the small size of the glove department. I have a hard time fitting the owners manual with anything else in the small space. I enjoy traveling and carrying a lot, so another negative would be that there is not a true roof rack on the vehicle or a hitch on the back. I had to add these features myself, which was costly. Lastly, I feel that the headlights get foggy over time. I have had to replace the h... (more)

I purchased a used 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee about two years ago. This vehicle had close to 200,000 miles on it when I purchased it. I was not worried about the mileage because I have heard excellent things about the 4.0 Inline six cylinder engine used in this vehicle. While I have owned my Jeep I have added about 30,000. I have performed routine maintenance and replaced a few steering components, not bad for a 15 year old vehicle with close to a quarter million miles. The seats are comfortable enough for long trips and the interior is laid out well for me. The cup holders are a little close together so when you try to put large drinks in them they have trouble fitting. The best feature of this vehicle though is the fact that it is a Jeep. Jeeps have a reputation for being kings of four... (more)
Story
I have used my Jeep to rescue people stranded in the snow several times. Southern Indiana may not get the feet of snow found in some parts of the US, but that simply means when we get six inches people lose their minds and have no clue how to drive. I remember one time, a woman in a brand new, expensive, status symbol, four wheel drive SUV was stuck in a snow bank on the side of the road. She ... (more)
Pros
My number one Pro is the ruggedness and dependability of this vehicle. I never have to worry about being stuck somewhere and not being able to get back. Secondly on my list would be the comfort of the interior. As I mentioned above, the seats have good support, and all the controls for climate, radio, etc., are in easy reach for a short (5'6") man. Finally I will commend this vehicle for cost of ownership. Parts are plentiful and inexpensive, so repair is cheap. And the fuel mileage is excellent despite the capabilities of the vehicle.
Cons
It is hard for me to think of negatives about a vehicle I enjoy owning so much. One Con I can think of is the materials used in the interior. There is a lot of plastic, and not high grade plastic either, used. The leather driver's seat has not aged well, it is torn in a few places. Additionally, it rides like an off-road capable four wheel drive vehicle, so it is not the smoothest.
