The best thing about the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee are its IIHS Top Safety ratings. The vehicle's safety ratings are what made us want to purchase this small SUV after the birth of our daughter. We intended it to be a family vehicle, which is its main use. However, our friends tend to want to use it for girls and guys nights out as well. We all love the great features of the Jeep. The pros outweigh the cons ten-fold. The performance is stellar. We have had one mechanical issue that was covered under warranty and two recalls, also covered, of course. Other than that, the truck runs really well and it is very quiet. The cons mostly stem from when the features, such as voice texting and remote start, do not work. I often say that this SUV has really spoiled me and I prefer to drive it over... (more)
Story
This vehicle really came in handy on a hot, Southern day when pools were on sale. We impulsively purchased a large blowup pool for the backyard and it just barely fit into the trunk, the box was so large. We still laugh about this impulse buy.
Pros
The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was a 2014 IIHS Top Safety Pick. It has many great features, including a back-up camera, built in navigation, XM radio capabilities, voice-command texting and calling, and TravelLink, which helps you find the cheapest gas prices near you. All of these features are viewed/displayed on the large, in dash touchscreen. The SUV has good gas mileage. If I am simply commuting to and from work, I only have to purchase gas every two weeks. The feature that is most convenient for me with an infant, though, is the fact that the Jeep does not allow me to lock the keys in t... (more)
Cons
One con about the vehicle is definitely the price tag. It is one of the most expensive vehicles in the Jeep line-up. As far as mechanical issues are concerned, there have been two different recalls in the past year. The check engine light has come on once since we've had the vehicle, which turned out to be a switch that needed to be replaced (covered under warranty). During this time I also discovered that the remote start does not work when the check engine light is on. Occasionally, the Jeep also jerks when you make a sharp left, like to park in a parking spot. The dealership did not fin... (more)

I had the black, limited, Grand Cherokee made by Jeep. Not only was this car fantastic, it was super comfortable and smooth to drive. I had no rattles or problems, and I drove it all the way up to 80,000 miles. For a Jeep, I feel like that's a great buy! The seating was very roomy and comfortable, and not once while taking it on road trips did I have any issues or feel squished inside a tiny car. The steering is super smooth, and the quality of the truck is great! I had a person crash into the back bumper of the car, and there was hardly any damage after I thought it was going to be awful. The car really holds up and makes for a great family or single person car.
Story
I have a very windy and hilly road near my home. I took the Jeep out and went somewhat fast through the whoops and hills, and it handled so awesome. It was a lot of fun and something I remember.
Pros
My favorite features of the vehicle was the Sirius XM option, as well as the comfort options. This includes the heated seats and steering wheel, automatic windows, an upgraded subwoofer, a moon roof. The list could go on, it was a really comfortable car, and I couldn't have asked for anything better. A+ for Jeep!
Cons
I did have some trouble in the snow as if the traction wasn't great, and it was difficult to drive. Another thing I didn't like was that the frame of the windshield is so thick that it blocks your view when looking diagonal and to the left. That is really the only downside of it.
