I purchased a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo about 2 years ago and overall, I have been very happy with this vehicle. It seems to be very solidly built. The interior is very comfortable for long rides. I have driven from Indiana to California in it and was much more comfortable than when I have taken smaller size vehicles for much shorter distances. Also, the perspective on the road is great, as compared to a standard automobile. There are a lot of options available with the vehicle, such as the entertainment system, 4 wheel drive, and a variety of safety and theft options and features. The engine has been solid as a rock. In the two years I've had it, I've had to do little other than routine maintenance. I did replace the steering pump and the battery, but those were easy and fairly... (more)
Story
While I was traveling, I decided to do some camping and didn't want to sleep on the ground so I opted to roll out my sleeping bag in the cargo area of the vehicle. It was actually surprisingly comfortable. I even had room to close the cargo bay door so I didn't bit up by mosquitoes all night.
Pros
Mots of leg room, very comfortable seating with lots of options to adjust, lots of storage area, lots of power, durable build, reliable engine.
Cons
Poor gas mileage.

I am a current owner of a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L 4WD optional vehicle. Never once have I encountered a major problem with my ride. All though I do small maintenance and check ups every week. My work requires long distance trips, including snow and ice roads. If you're looking for something reliable, or for an off road sport this is the jeep that will take you cross country with luxury. The stock mpg specs of this jeep model for 16 City and 22 Hwy. This is fair fuel consumption for an 2003 model. The motor is made out of cast iron block. Not aluminum based, it would be extremely hard to break the motor while hauling heavy loads on tailors moving trips etc. There are 2 different motor setups with the same model. They both inquire the same amount of gas City and Hwy. If yo... (more)
Story
Taking my jeep (with the I6 motor) to a race track (aftermarket parts installed) and seeing its speed at 167mph.
Pros
Installing cold air intake and throttle body spacer will increase lots of gas mileage up to 25 % or more. (Air-Raid Parts Only) Engine is Cast Iron - Long life - Build for heavy duty and off road. Install Banks sidewinder turbo for double the horse power. (Only on I6 Piston Motors)
