2010 Mercedes-Benz G-Class Owner Ratings & Reviews
Write a Review
2010 Mercedes-Benz G-Class -
I love this car! It's the perfect size SUV, with an option for third-row seating. The ride is super smooth, and there is definitely a feeling of luxury to the car. I also love the color. I have the white exterior with black leather interior and wood accents. The white color is very classy and fresh feeling. It's not the bleached out almost blueish white you see in some cars like the Lexus, and it's not a yellow-based, creamy white. It's just a beautiful white color. The rear quarter side vent mirrors are also awesome and another added feature!
Story
My daughter likes to play hip hop and rap music very loudly in the car, push her seat back and go through the Starbucks drive through. It's always a laugh when we actually do that!
Pros
This car is gorgeous. It is very solidly built and just has the feel of a well-built, long-lasting heavy car. The leather is very nice, and I love the third-row seating and power fold option to make room for a larger trunk.
Cons
The car will very frequently make a loud hissing/grating noise, attributed to the AIRMATIC air suspension system, which is supposed to adapt the height based on the road. The noise is very obnoxious. Though it only last one second or less, it is very loud and occurs around 10+ times on an average driving day. The other thing that would be a con is the gas mileage. Though it is very comparable to other SUVs, it gets around 8-12 miles per gallon and has a huge tank.
2010 Mercedes-Benz G-Class - Best crossover for the money
This crossover is amazing. It has a 3.6l V6 all-wheel drive system. The traction and acceleration are great. The exterior of the vehicle is smooth with subtle hints of luxury spread throughout. Inside is not exception. The seats are fully adjustable and heated. They are made from comfortable material and wrapped in luxurious leather. The trim is classic and highly detailed.
Story
I remember a time when I was backing up and telling my wife about the back-up camera on the vehicle. I was telling her that it is an essential feature these days and all vehicles should have it. As I was backing out, a cat ran across the back of the vehicle. I saw this in the camera and stopped the vehicle. We laughed about it and continued on with our day.
Pros
This platform has a 3.6l V6 for a great powerband. The transmission is smooth and shits seamlessly. The vehicle handles well and has exceptional traction. There is luxury features throughout the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
Cons
The maintenance cost through a certified Mercedes dealer are expensive. Additionally, part for the vehicle can be expensive to replace.
