2009 Mercury Mariner Hybrid - Great city car
I really like this vehicle overall. I bought it about five years ago and has treated me well ever since. I take it on long trips all the time. It has a big tank of gas but doesn't burn through it super fast. I have in city street parking and never have much trouble finding spots to fit it in as the total length isn't excessive. Nonetheless, it has a large trunk with removable seats so it has been great for hauling things as well. I have carried many couches, plants, camping gear, etc., over the years.
Story
Taking this baby on ski trips to Canada has been fantastic. It fits all of our gear smoothly with plenty of engine power.
Pros
Well there are a few features that come out shining on this car. The Mercury hybrid is nice and efficient with gas, which has saved me plenty of fuel money over the years. The ride is super smooth, which has always been a very important aspect to me. It does great in the winter with on demand all-wheel drive for the days with messy conditions out.
Cons
The middle seat of the back row of seats is not the most comfortable to be honest. A fairly small feature that disappoints, but is worth noting before purchase. As well, the seats do not fold fully down but rather sit at a 15 degree or so angle away from being parallel to the road.
