The Mercury Mariner is a smaller SUV along the lines of a Ford escape. However it has much more to offer. The particular model that I have has leather seats, front seat warmers and for the summer extra high air conditioning. It has of course both a cd and cassette player, and speakers. At times, the car seems smarter than me as I am able to find out engine reports with an email.

The Mariner has dual controls for the air allowing me to turn my side off when I get too cold. The cup holders are centrally located in the middle of the car and not the doors so there aren't spills when someone closes a door. The rear seats are split so you can have one passenger and use the other seat for storage when needed. I like the door code panel. It is convenient to lock your car as well as unlock it preventing an issue if you lock your keys in the car (not that I have). My car has been reliable and I like knowing my car will not break down.
