Will run forever.
The Mercury Mariner has leather seats. The back seats fold all the way down so there is more than enough storage space. There is plenty of space in the SUV to accommodate many household furniture items when the need to move arises. The Mariner also has a luggage rack on top that can be used for plenty of bags so that the entire family can sit comfortably in the vehicle without compromising space for luggage. The inside of the SUV also has plenty of storage in the middle console as well as several "hiding" spots throughout. The easy to control buttons are perfect for programming radio stations and setting controls. Also has a big display on the dash for the driver with digital settings and push buttons to set and reset controls. Easy maintenance and the digital display will tell you when something is due. The Mercury Mariner has a full-size spare tire that hides under the floor in the trunk so that if the need arises, you will not have to drive on a small tire. There are plenty of cup holders throughout the vehicle for drinking convenience.

Very reliable
Overall, the Mariner is an excellent vehicle. I have had no issues with it and driving is very smooth. Having the Mariner has been great, as I have not had to put any money into mechanical issues. It is not the most fun to drive, but it is an excellent commuter vehicle. I can fit a good amount of stuff in the car.

Mariner takes me places!
I bought this car used from a KIA dealership about 6 months ago. The car was a Premier edition, with leather seating. It had all of the bells and whistles that come with the luxury version of a car. Heated seats and mirrors, a rearview mirror that dims the head lights of the cars behind me, as well as electronic seats and windows. The car I bought had an alignment issue, and was filthy inside, needing a detailing. That of course really has nothing to do with the actual car itself, and more to do with the previous owners. In the last six months this car has not given me any major issues, but is quite the 'complainer'. It came equipped with a system that tells me much about it through a text display where my speedometer is. It beeps if I am low on gas, need an oil change, am missing the fuel cap, etc. It can be really very annoying at times. It also came with a detection of items behind me, and has saved me from backing into a few telephone poles. This is the 2005 edition. Recently it broke down on me and needed a new wheel bearing. Unfortunately, when I bought it from the dealership it was also in need of new everything. Wipers, tires, etc. The gas mileage is not so great for in town driving, but highway miles are not so bad. I currently only get about 18 mpg in the city. All in all I am satisfied with this car, but I do wish it had better gas mileage, considering the price of gas lately.
