I bought a 2011 Mini Cooper for my daughter when she turned 16. We bought this used so she could earn her way to a new car. we did not want to buy a new one until we were sure that she was capable of driving it well. We chose this vehicle since it was part of BMW and felt that it would be a reliable vehicle. It was also small enough so that we did not have to worry that she was not going to be able to drive a big vehicle. The warranty on it was pretty decent and it was a good running car.
Story
The smile on my daughters face when she was driving it made this my memory!
Pros
They have a cool feature where you can change the interior color of the lighting. There is also a control/joystick where you can manage the audio and other digital options in the car while driving and not have to worry about taking your eyes off the road. Overall this car was a good running vehicle. If I were to buy again, then I would buy a new one.
Cons
When you become the second owner the warranty does not cover the run flat tires. Even if you purchase new run flat tires there is still no warranty on them. I just purchased regular tires that would have a warranty. Also when things fail and you do not have a warranty, the prices to repair are far more substantial that a normal vehicle. The Oil changes are almost $100 per change as well.
