I LIKE MY VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS CHEAP WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I ALWAYS HAD A MITSUBISHI BRAND. OUR CAR AND VANS ARE MITSUBISHI AND THEY NEVER FAIL US IN THEIR PERFORMANCE IN THE ROAD. THE AIRCON IS GOOD. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH IT. I LIKE IT BECAUSE IT HAS POWER AND IT IS NICE TO LOOK AT.
Story
ITS AN OLD VEHICLE COMPARED TO THE CARS PARKING IN OUR AREA. IT IS MORE NOTICEABLE BECAUSE IT IS NOT NEW.
Pros
IT IS COMFORTABLE. IT CAN CARRY LIKE 8 PERSONS. IT RUNS FAST. THE MACHINE IS GOOD. THE BODY IS DURABLE. IT STILL DOES NOT HAVE ANY RUST. THE PAINT IS DURABLE. IT HAS NICE COLOR COMBINATION WHITE AND GRAY. THE AIRCON IS GOOD. THE WIPER HAS BEEN THEIR FOR A LONG TIME. THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT IS BIG. I CAN LOAD A LOT OF THINGS.
Cons
THE AIRCONDITIONING... WHEN I PARK IN THE SUN. IT WOULD TAKE A LONG TIME TO COOL. IT HAS A TIME LIMIT FOR THE TIMING BELT. THE SITTING SPACE IS TOO NEAR. ITIS NOT SPACIOUS AT THE BACK. AUTOMATIC WINDOW AND DOOR PROBLEMS. IT SEEMS IT HAS BROKEN DOWN. IT IS NOT THAT DURABLE.

I love my Mitsubishi Montero. It is an older vehicle but still runs like new even though it is over 20 years old. The vehicle is large but I never have issues parallel parking the Montero. I love many of the features of the car. It has a third row for extra seating which can come in handy. It also has a large sun roof and an attractive looking center console up front. The second row seating is uncomfortable though and the set up of the third row seats makes it difficult to transport large items in the rear, even though you would think you would be able to transport large items in a big SUV. I once expected to be able to fit my mattress in the Montero but was unable to. I also dislike the gas mileage I get with this car but that is expected with a bigger car and it actually gets better ... (more)
Story
I took this car on a beach trip once and it was great to put back the sun roof and head off on a mini-vacation. It is a great road trip car and this is one of the many great road trip memories I have had with the car.
Pros
Sunroof, third row seating, engine, compass in dashboard, materials, luxurious feel
Cons
No space for large items, older vehicle, second row seat padding

2006 Mitsubishi Montero - Roomy and practical, with three rows of seats, major headroom, and lots of grab handles.

Excellent off road performance; I wanted one of these when they changed the body style in 2000. I now have the last Black Limited in my area. It is by far a great vehicle. It has excellent quality, no issues what-so-ever to date. I get many complements on my truck, as many people haven't had the pleasure to have seen the Montero Limited. Coming from a 1998 Expedition, this was big change for me. I had looked at the Toureg, H3, and Aspen, this is the one I came away with. I am truly happy. Would be very happy to buy another one.
Story
Although the overall design is a bit dated, quality materials gives the Montero an upscale feel.
Pros
The interior has heated seats, excellent climate control. Top safety features, has the feeling of a luxury truck. Neat exterior styling, but it may not be for everyone. High-quality interior materials, sharp cabin design, large cargo capacity, excellent off-road capability.
Cons
Serious lack of power compared to rivals, mediocre on-road handling, cramped third-row seat, no side curtain airbags. The Montero gets rather poor gas mileage for a midsize SUV. It get about an overall 15 miles per gallon. The horsepower is slightly low at 215.
