I bought my Outlander about a month ago and couldn't be happier. This is the fourth Mitsubishi automobile I have owned, and I have had no troubles with any of them. The Outlander is a lot more spacious than it looks from the outside. My husband and I had a large table, chairs and umbrella that all fit in the back with room to spare. All of the controls are placed well and very intuitive. One of the best features is the electronic lift for the hatch. It makes life so much easier. The seats are comfortable and provide good support for may back as well. Getting the little extras was a huge win for this vehicle as well. Having heated seats is a must for Erie PA weather.
Story
We have an opportunity coming up to take a road trip to the Poconos which we are looking forward to. As of yet, the best AHA moment we have had with the car is when we went shopping for patio furniture and everything, including a table, 4 chairs and an umbrella, fit in the back of the vehicle without issue. My husband commented on it and said it seems like there is more room in here than in th... (more)
Pros
The heated seats are hands down my favorite feature. Having the electronic lift is great as well. It also has a back up camera and the interface screen is large and easy to see. The touchscreen radio/satellite is great. This vehicle is easy to get in and out of and offers so much more room than expected, with the option of third row seating if necessary.
Cons
The one negative with this vehicle is that it doesn't have a lot of get up and go at first. It takes some getting used to.

I bought a 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander after losing my old car to a blizzard. I picked it for its numerous safety features and how well it handled. I had my fiancé along for the test drive and he said that I seemed to be a much more confident driver than I was in my old sedan. The 2014 Outlander was the last year in which Mitsubishi used the copper color, which is a brilliant orange in the sunlight and a warm brown in low light. There is a decal that stretches from tail light to tail light and it's reflective, so I feel like other drivers are more likely to notice the car at night. It is a very smooth ride, and has a ton of cargo space. Mine came with a factory installed hitch for towing. The hitch on its own was the 2" variety, but a ball hitch extension was included, which I really lik... (more)
Story
I drove over ten miles across patches of thick ice and black/glare ice. It was stressful, no doubt, but AWC Snow mode meant it handled the ice without a single slip in a wrong direction.
Pros
Eco mode AWC settings including Eco, Normal, Snow, and Lock Modern appearance Color choice Heated cloth seats Dual climate control settings Bluetooth audio Entertainment package Large cargo area Collapsible back seats CVT Roll detection Lots of airbags
Cons
Eco mode means slower acceleration

We got the vehicle that comes with the optional third row. This has been a real life saver for us. With two kids, we've had to make use of the third row quite a few times. It's a little cramped, but the younger ones fit back there great! I've always been pleased with its performance, we've never had any major issues. Also, the Mitsubishi dealer from Sarasota, FL is awesome!
Story
We brought our daughter home in this vehicle and then six weeks later drove her all the way to Ohio. The vehicle was great almost driving straight off the lot!
Pros
My favorite features are the third row, the sun roof, and the spacious backseat. My husband is very tall but when he sometimes has to ride in the back he fits like a charm. I also love that the seats are pretty easy to clean when my 3 year old makes messes.
Cons
The biggest complaints I have about this vehicle are the placement of the air vents. It literally blasts your hands when you hold the steering wheel. This makes me turn it off, and living in FL the car can get a little hot. The only other negative I have to say is the weird paddle gear shifters kind of get in the way or occasionally get hit and then I can't figure out why my automatic transmission isn't working properly.
