My Mitsubishi is great. It is a front wheel drive crossover. It has a car frame but the capacity of a full size SUV. It seats 7, not comfortably but it can be done. The interior is black leather and dark grey stitching. I has a jump seat in the very back that can fit two small children. The ground clearance is not bad; it does have a little height, but not too much. I did not upgrade the trim package. I have manual seats but the nice thing is that everything else is electric. I love the auto windshield wipers and auto headlight selection. I also like the selective transmission. I go from automatic transmission to manual transmission with ease. The back hatch has a LED light and has a mini tailgate that is great for the beach watching the sunset. It does take the more expensive gas whic... (more)
Story
Driving the open road to San Antonio for a family visit. It got 28 MPG which was great. Filled up on the way there and did not have to fill up again until halfway back home to Houston. It was nice driving it a long distance. It handled well. My husband and I just talked and listened to the radio reminiscing about the good ole days.
Pros
The pros are that it can go pretty much anywhere. The automatic wiper blades are great when it rains. The rain hits the windshield and the blades start. I don't have to find the switch. The other nice thing is the automatic night time lights. It starts to get too dark to see and the headlights automatically turn from daytime running lights to full headlights. The Bluetooth connection is great. Totally hands free for safer driving.
Cons
The fuel that it takes is a higher grade. It costs more to fill up at the pump. The other is the maintenance. It takes full synthetic to run right which in turn costs more.

I was not in the market for a Mitsubishi nor an SUV, but I was persuaded to look at one from a friend who works for the Mitsubishi plant. Upon test driving the vehicle and reviewing all of its features I found myself in favor of the Outlander because of the ease of driving it, the overall size, and the particular features of the vehicle I ultimately selected.
Story
I am newer to the state and area in which I reside. The in-dash GPS has been extremely helpful in navigating the area. One year when going away on business, I let my in-laws borrow my vehicle since they were staying at my house. They are not from the area either. I was able to program local stores and restaurants to help them navigate through town. This was highly valuable.
Pros
The Mitsubishi Outlander I purchased came with a sunroof, which was high on my list of priorities. It also has leather seats which are heated, and power doors and windows. Another feature that I appreciate is the traction selection. Because of the cold winters where I live, having traction for snow is helpful. It came equipped with a multi-media center including in-dash navigation, Bluetooth capabilities, and a Bose stereo system. The vehicle has had no maintenance issues in the three and a half years I have owned it.
Cons
The seats can be a little uncomfortable on long drives. My family travels often, so this has caused some concern occasionally. The optional third row is only a partial row with removable seats. As such, the seats can be difficult to assemble. I would prefer better gas mileage and a larger tank. The tank is only about 13 gallons.

The Outlander is a slick looking crossover that has the capabilities of towing like larger vehicles. The greatest aspect of the Outlander is that it has a 3rd row of seats that can be laid down to create a large trunk space. This is ideal for families that occasionally have friends riding in the vehicle as well. In addition, the trunk part has a collapsible tailgate to help remove groceries and other items easier. The large interior can accommodate longer items, like fishing poles. It handles well and you wouldn't even know that it only has a 4 cylinder. There is a smooth go from the first acceleration and you are able to pick up speed fast. Like most newer vehicles, it does have a temperature gauge that you can read on your dash. It also has the radio controls easily accessible from ... (more)
Story
The best memory is going on a 3-hour car ride with 4 children, with 2 of them sitting in the 3rd row. It's long highways around us so we lost ourselves to music on the radio.
Pros
My favorite features are: the collapsible 3rd row seats, the collapsible tailgate, and the ability to get from Point A to B without any issues.
Cons
The only con really is that the tires seem to wear fast and it takes awhile before they can get ordered in.
