Love the Flexibility!
We got the vehicle that comes with the optional third row. This has been a real life saver for us. With two kids, we've had to make use of the third row quite a few times. It's a little cramped, but the younger ones fit back there great! I've always been pleased with its performance, we've never had any major issues. Also, the Mitsubishi dealer from Sarasota, FL is awesome!

Great economy car
I've driven this car over 10,000 miles now. I performed multiple oil changes, which are comparatively easy. I taken her on a 3,000-mile road trip through the mountains and down the coast of California and loaded plenty of cargo she probably wasn't designed to haul (brick, wood, etc.). She's handled it all like a champ with a few exceptions. I fit three kids in the second row. The third row is smaller than my Honda Pilot but manageable for the few days per year I really need it.

2012 Mitsubishi Outlander.
The 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander is a decent, middle-tier SUV. The quality and workmanship is decent but not great. The optional 3rd-row seating is sub-par but works well for small children. The gas mileage and performance a good but "powerful" is not a word that would come to mind. Cargo space and folding seats provide plenty of room to haul things. Premium sound system is great. Bluetooth capability works well. The turning ratio is the best I've ever experienced.
