2004 Mitsubishi Outlander - No major problems
I like the looks of it because it is sporty but I wish it was 4 wheel drive. It is all wheel and I have been able to make it up my drive when it has snowed. It doesn't snow a lot here, but when it does it is nice to have a car that can make it up my hill. Mine has cloth seats but they are stain resistant. I love the back trunk area. It has a pull down thing so if you go Christmas shopping, no one can tell there are packages in the back. It has plenty of leg room in the back seat. It has power windows, and just the right amount of tint to the windows. I have not had a lot of issues with this vehicle. I have replaced the tie rods and I have replaced the brake caliper on the front left.
Story
No because I have only used it to go back and forth to work.
Pros
Looks, low problem list with it. Radio and CD player, cloth water repellant seats. Luggage area big with a pull down shade to hide purchases. Leg room in the back seats. Cup holder, ashtray, middle console area. Back seats lay down to get large items in the back. Easy to clean wheels. Has a back window defrost and wiper. I like the way it handles. The steering is tight and not loose.
Cons
Its only all wheel not 4 wheel. It doesn't have a lot of power to pass quick. Not really a negative but the clock is analog. Seems weird to look at that instead of a digital, but it makes the vehicle seem more sporty I guess.
2004 Mitsubishi Outlander - Tough little thing!
Great little car/truck! I routinely take this car out and work it in the Arizona desert. It's tougher than it looks and can get around in almost any environment. I will admit that it is not a feature rich car, but there also isn't much to malfunction or break. Gas mileage is great around town and mediocre on the highway. It could use an overdrive gear for economy. I use it for work and have yet to be let down by it; it carries lumber and anything I can fit in it or on the roof racks. Add a rooftop basket and bolt a couple fog lights to it and it's a very very versatile vehicle.
Story
Trail riding with my son. Plus, he gets to drive off road also.
Pros
Tough. Great cargo hauling ability. Good gas economy overall. Comfortable. Simple and safe. Super reliable. Cheap to repair.
Cons
Small motor. No overdrive. Limited roof rack system. No ABS. A little "tinny" sounding when closing doors.
