It's really a shame that the Aztec isn't produced anymore, so if you happen to find this diamond in the rough I would highly suggest owning it. The engines are solid, the interior is roomy, the trunk space is massive, and the best part, it still gets great gas mileage for an older V6. Although you cannot walk into a new car dealership and order one of these machines, you certainly can find some in a used dealership or perhaps in the classified ads. They have a great safety rating, can accommodate 5 people (with pets in the back!), and drive like a road master. It's also equipped with the standard safety features in case you do get into an accident and is off the ground more than cars are to help reduce impact on your body. All in all, if I could go back in time and make a decision betw... (more)
Story
My wife and I do craft shows all over Michigan and one time we forgot our chairs at an eight hour, outdoor event. They had chairs there to "rent" for 10$, but we decided to back up the car and open the tailgate (which is made specifically to sit on and hold drinks (has cup holders in it!) Some of our craft show neighbors look on with delight and jealously as we had gentle music playing and cou... (more)
Pros
Huge interior for road trips Accommodates up to five people plus pets! Good safety features Good gas mileage for a V6 Tailgating style tailgate! Has towing power!
Cons
Some worries are the top heavy fall-over in high winds as noted on the visor of the vehicle. And although this may be true with any vehicle with a high top, if you don't take turns at 80 mph you will be fine.

The Pontiac Aztek may be a discontinued model, but there are definitely reasons why you see plenty of these SUVs still out on the road. I have found them very easy to work on for simple repairs, and they are very efficient. For the type of vehicle it is, they get decent city gas mileage and superb highway mileage. I have been able to take a trip from Indianapolis, Indiana to Columbus, Ohio without consuming more than half of the tank. They are fairly spacious and have plenty of back storage. The only thing I can say that I don't like is the fact that both of the Azteks I have owned have had several suspension and AC problems over the years. You will have to put a little bit of money into them over the years to keep them going, but I have yet to have one of them die on me. They are lite... (more)
Story
I remember carpooling with friends to an old hang out spot. The spacious seating worked wonders for all of us. (And I was able to cram everyone in)
Pros
--Excellent Gas Mileage on average for the model of vehicle (SUV) --spacious seating in the front and back with plenty of room for Storage in the back of the car. Netting and additional Storage Can be found under floor panels. --an extremely long life span if It is given good TLC over the years.
Cons
--AC and suspension problems will pop up throughout the years that require some extra investing. --It is an older vehicle, so don't expect it to totally blow your mind media wise unless you want to customize it yourself.
