2003 Pontiac Aztek OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Dependable SUV
The main thing I like about my Aztek is the size. It is big enough to be able to fit a lot of things in for road trips and has netting in the backseat for storage without things rolling around the car. I also love how the clear the sound from the radio is. One thing I dislike is that there is a only a CD player, no aux, or Bluetooth capability, since the car was built in 2003.

An Old Vehicle But Reliable
The Pontiac Aztek may be a discontinued model, but there are definitely reasons why you see plenty of these SUVs still out on the road. I have found them very easy to work on for simple repairs, and they are very efficient. For the type of vehicle it is, they get decent city gas mileage and superb highway mileage. I have been able to take a trip from Indianapolis, Indiana to Columbus, Ohio without consuming more than half of the tank. They are fairly spacious and have plenty of back storage. The only thing I can say that I don't like is the fact that both of the Azteks I have owned have had several suspension and AC problems over the years. You will have to put a little bit of money into them over the years to keep them going, but I have yet to have one of them die on me. They are literally the vehicle that keeps on ticking.

Fun car with some issues
I was really excited about the car initially because of the cooler in the center console, the tent attachment that can be purchased separately, and the amount of space the car provided. Since I've owned the car I have had multiple issues that sound like common occurrences for this specific model, so that has lowered my opinion over time. I've had to replace the rear wheel bearings once, the brake pads and rotors twice due to some other flaw that wears them down quickly and unevenly, and there is an on again-off again issue with the gas tank that no one seems to be able to correctly diagnose and fix.
