The build quality is exceptional, there are no interior rattles and I have driven over a hundred thousand miles. The interior materials look nice and feel like average quality and held up well over time. I have experienced no issues with the electronic components. With basic care there is minimal wear and tear on the outer appearance. The paint job still looks good, and if kept cleaned, you will experience little rust.
Story
I was able to use this car's high beams to find lost items and tall grass even, while slowly driving into areas where there were no cars allowed.
Pros
Being such a small car, it gets good mileage to the gallon. Finding and buying spare and replacement parts are easy and cheap since it's an older car but not too old where you can't find any. Easy to accommodate small residential moves. Can place heavy large items on the rooftop with a harness without scratching or denting of the body of the car. Enough space on the inside to seat 5 people comfortably without squishing.
Cons
The only thing that I may not like about this car is maybe the style of it since we are in more modern times. I'm starting to like the more modern styles of different cars seeing that it was made nearly 20 years ago. The windows and locks are all manual; sometimes I do wish that you can just flip a button and make the windows go down instead of cranking the windows up or down whenever you want some air. And the secure feeling you have when you just press a button and all the doors lock instead of when you leave you just lock your driver's side door.

This was my first car. It was a shiny black sports car with a lowered suspension and Glasspack mufflers. I am a commuter to my college. It got good gas mileage for my 100 mile round trips. It looked nice at the beginning but it quickly started to wear. Some of the paint started to chip off in the back and rust started to quickly form underneath the car. This may have been quick because it had over 100,000 miles when I obtained it. At any rate, the car got me through harsh winters as well as long distances. Towards the end of my run with this car it needed extreme work on it, including a new exhaust system. Unfortunately, some of the longevity flaws of this car may have been from the poor aftermarket work put into it from the previous owner. In all, the Sunfire is a splendid first car f... (more)
Story
I enjoyed my early times with this car driving down the road at a high speeds listening to rock music.
Pros
It got great gas mileage and was easy to drive on the road. As a young student, I enjoyed the sporty look of the car.
Cons
The vehicle has bad reliability. The car constantly needed work in the shop including the brakes, exhaust system, rotors, and tires. It also kept getting very rusty.
