This car was my very first vehicle. I bought it used from a seller on Craigslist, so it was a few years old. The mileage was still good though, and it ended up being a fantastic purchase. I'd never heard about the Sun fire model before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I only knew so much from the reviews online. After driving it to and from work though, I began to realize just what a great car this was! My particular model was quite sporty, which I enjoyed immensely. The color was very nice, and it was small enough that I didn't worry at all about driving through any tight spots or between cars- a constant problem for the massive car I'd been practicing in. It ran without any problems and still runs fine. The only issue I've had with the car would be the back lights. Due to how the... (more)
Story
The very first day I drove it, I simply went cruising around my neighborhood and stopped at McDonalds to get a bag of fries. A simple enough thing to do for most people, but my family and I tend to cruise around for fries on all our new cars, a 'christening' of sorts for the vehicle. New beginnings and all that.
Pros
The model is stunning. While it is an older car, it's aged really well and has not lost any of the classic, sporty look. It is small enough to be able to drive circles around larger cars, and fit my driving personality rather well. I always felt safe when driving it. It always alerted me if I didn't have my seat beat on, or if my oil was low, and never once stopped on me.
Cons
I have no particular cons. The problems I had were few and far between, but to simplify my response a couple paragraphs below- The lights will need to be replaced eventually on this model. Either they burn out or rainwater seeps into them. The car is also low to the ground, which might be an issue if you drive on roads with a lot of steep bumps.

2003 Pontiac Sunfire - Will drive till the very end, best car to find parts at a you pull it.

My first car, A silver 2003 Pontiac sun-fire, got me exactly where I needed to go this car has great build quality, and had exceptional gas mileage. There are no interior issues. A/C, dashboard, or sunroof, gearshift, and I have driven it well over 180,000 miles. The interior materials look and feel high quality, and have held up well over time even thought I had to smash my sunroof once before and flooded the car with rain multiple times.
Story
I had a mannequin that I would hold out of the top of my sun-roof when I drove around at night, and I would spin it around and freak people just for the fun of the sport.
Pros
I have experienced no issues with key electronic components, including the stereo and navigation system. I also had a loud speaker system that never blew out. I would use a full tank of gas for at least 2 weeks before needing a refill. The A/C and heat blew great and hard, never needed any repairing.
Cons
Sadly, I slowly could not afford to fix the damages on my car when I ran over a curb and I had to wield my oil pan back together 3 times, my motor mount was basically no existent to where I could push my car my whole engine would shake. My brakes had completely worn out to where I had to use my e-brake for the last 3 weeks of driving the car to stop at a light.
