My 2003 Saturn Ion Quad Coupe has been my companion for the last twelve years. It's taken me from Michigan to Minnesota and back again, through pouring rain and drifting snow, to weddings and funerals. It's the kind of car that becomes a member of the family. My nine-year old has high hopes of taking possession of it when he's old enough to drive. I'm not making any promises to share it if it makes it to the ripe old age of 18.
Story
When our second son would have trouble sleeping as a baby, my husband would take him out for rides in this car. Sometimes he would drive for an hour to get the baby to go to sleep. On at least one occasion, I woke up in the morning to find both of them gone--my husband would be so tired when he got home, that he would turn off the car (this being during a mild spring) and simply go to sleep in... (more)
Pros
This little car handles beautifully. I can navigate it into parking spaces that my other vehicle's larger turn radius makes tricky. It accelerates smoothly, even after all the years of use and abuse. For a small car, it can carry a lot. The roomy trunk and ability to fold down the back seat means I've transported everything from furniture to two-by-fours in this car. Gas mileage isn't through the roof, but it's better than many larger cars, averaging in the high twenties for mpg.
Cons
Since the car is older and the company has gone out of business, finding parts for repairs can be a challenge and can drive up the cost of repairs. The car rattles and the radio can be hard to hear over the amount of noise it makes. Perhaps the biggest downside is that the car only seats four, and we've just added a fifth family member. This is now my husband's go-to-work car and I'm stuck with the larger car that's not as much fun to drive.

This car has been an absolutely fantastic car for my family. We first purchased it when my son was an infant, and it has been able to grow with us. We've put nearly 200K miles on it, and it has held up really well overall. It has great gas mileage and does very well on road trips. While it's almost time to get a new vehicle, this one will be missed.
Story
We have taken the car on a road trip through a snow storm that had even the plow trucks in the ditch! But this little car was able to trek right through and make it to our destination.
Pros
The trunk space on this car is amazing. It can carry everything from baby gear to a family of 4's worth of luggage for a road trip. The main body on this is made of plastic, which means that there is no rust on it. Which is pretty amazing considering we live in a state that gets a ton of snow and, therefore, gets covered in lots of salt during the winters.
Cons
Many of the parts, mainly the connectors, are made of plastic and have been prone to breaking. This has caused some inconvenient issues, like the windshield wiper arm breaking during a rainstorm while driving down the highway. We have also had a few issues with sensors going out or not working properly and throwing codes on the dashboard. The amount of leg room is also limited, so now that the kids are getting older and taller, they don't have very much room to stretch out during long trips.

The dealership was clean and everyone was friendly. I appreciated that they took the time to discuss all of the pros and cons of each vehicle, as well as various financing options. The selection and price were great, and the salesperson was knowledgeable without being pushy or too intense. I felt confident in the choice I made and all of the reasons behind it.

Mr. Yono stayed on top of our paperwork (plates/taxes/etc.) and got it to be completed quickly. This made me very happy. I love my new Saturn Ion Redline! I would recommend this place to all of my friends.
