I love my car!
My Scion xA is about 10 years old an has a little over 100,000 miles on it. His name is Nugget and we've been together since I bought him in 2004.
Some people thought I was crazy purchasing a brand no one had heard of but, though he says "Scion" on the outside, the engine and other inside parts are all labeled "Toyota". I bought him thinking that I would have him for many years, and I certainly have.
He continues to be reliable and still have plenty of get up and go! I like that the backseats fold down in two pieces, so I can have both a passenger and carry something long.
The cargo space in this car is awesome! He can hold so much more than you would ever expect. They even included points to tie down to, which I wouldn't have expected.
He's retained value surprisingly well. For a car that is 10 years old, have over 100k miles, and cost ~$13k new, I think that $4500 is a pretty good Blue Book value.

A reliable, efficient vehicle.
I loved how fuel efficient this car is. It also never broke down or needed more than an oil change. It's surprisingly spacious for being so small and could fit a driver and three passengers comfortably. The interior design was pleasing also. When I first got in, it almost felt like a spaceship. The main things I dislike about this vehicle and its lack of storage space, and that there is no cruise control feature, making long drives difficult.

Old but good
This car is the most reliable and useful car I have ever owned. It is almost 200k miles in and still going strong. Even now, it takes little in maintenance and upkeep. Since it is a hatchback, it has plenty of room for all sorts of baggage and furniture; I've even used it to move across the country multiple times, and it has managed to fit nearly all of my important belongings. That said, it is still an incredibly compact car. It's nice to not have to worry about parallel parking because you can just drive right into the spot. The fuel economy is nothing to sneeze at - I still get 30 miles per gallon. It handles great despite its relatively small engine due to its light weight. No problems starting up even when temperature is below freezing. I will probably continue to drive this car until it falls apart (which probably won't be for another 100 years at this rate).
