Low priced!
The best quality about this car is the gas mileage. It gets great mileage in the city and on the highways. I don’t feel like I’m throwing my money away. The truck space is superb for a small car. The only thing I dislike is it runs rough, as if there aren’t any shock absorbers.

Great versatile vehicle!
I have owned my 2005 Scion XB for over 10 years and it has been extremely reliable and trouble-free! The reputation of Toyota brought the car to my attention and the price and versatility sold me on it. The purchase price (purchased new from a dealer) was very reasonable at under $15,000. And it continues to be cost efficient in both the gas consumption, gets approximately 30 MPG highway/city, and with its low repair rate. I have had to do no repairs and only the bare minimum of preventative maintenance (I'm doing good if I manage an oil change once a year and tune-up every two years!) It is a very versatile vehicle in that it seats a minimum of 4 people comfortably as well as can be transformed into a work vehicle with its hatchback and lowering of the back seats. I have used this car to haul sod, rocks, all types of plants including a small tree as well as a studio size refrigerator and all types of furniture. I run a small pet rescue and have transported as many as 20 cats & kittens in 8 small to medium size carriers all loaded into the back of the car still allowing room for a driver and passenger!! I have owned this car longer than any other car and I have no intention of trading it in anytime soon! I HIGHLY recommend this vehicle to friends and strangers alike.

Fun, fast, worth the buy!
When I was looking for a new vehicle I spent a couple months doing research off and on, looking for my next buy. I was looking somewhere around the 12-15k mark and not necessarily looking for a new vehicle. My main concern was the long lasting value (mainly looking at Toyota), gas mileage and look/feel. What I found in my Scion xB definitely blew away my expectations. I came from a Jeep Grand Cherokee so I knew that size-wise I would be downsizing, which I wanted due to my desire for better gas mileage. However, when I first test drove the xB I remember thinking, "Wow! This thing has more power than my Jeep did". The torque was a surprising and fun addition that honestly has become a major "make-it" factor for me about my new car. It also has very spacious interior which I didn't think I cared about, but after owning it for a little while, I realized the major "break-it" that can be to me when I ride in other people's cars. But not for me! I can comfortably fit 5 people in my car with plenty of trunk space. The gas mileage turned out to be just average. While I am technically saving money on gas, it still feels like it isn't a highly efficient gas car due to the small tank that needs regular refilling and the only-average MPG which is slightly rare for a car this size.
