Scion XB - best car ever
Scion XB is made by its parent company, Toyota. It is a Toyota engine. One thing I have noticed about Toyota engines is that as long as you stick to the maintenance schedules, your car will run forever. I have owned the car for 11 years now and not had a single problem. The mileage is great. On average, I'm getting 38 mpg in city and around 40 mpg on the highway. It is a 4 cylinder, so it isn't going to win any speed competitions but it has enough get up and go to navigate steep roads in the mountains with no problem. The Scion XB doesn't look like every other car out there. So on top of having a reliable vehicle, you have a vehicle that you can spot within seconds in any parking lot. I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten where I parked and just looked for the box on wheels. It looks like this little tiny car. You can fit it in any compact parking space with room to spare. It is huge inside! It seats 5 comfortably. And not just 5 small 5 foot tall people. My father is 6ft tall and even with the front seat all the way back, when he sits in the back seat he knees don't touch.

Good Entry-Level Vehicle
The 2005 Scion xB is a front-wheel drive "thing" alternatively classified as a hatchback, subcompact, or station wagon - it is not quite any of these things (though it does qualify as subcompact, the amount of interior room is much greater than any other subcompact). It features a very distinctive, boxy appearance.

Great car. I wish they still made them.
I have owned two of these cars now, both a 2008 and a 2010 model. I love these cars. The have great get up and go and deliver excellent gas mileage. If you fold the back seats down, you get tons of cargo room. They fold perfectly flat, so you can use the space to go camping or carry stuff. I had a choice to either pick up my new couch or pay $100 to have it delivered. I folded the seats down and it slid right in the car! Sure, I had to leave the back hatch open because it was too long, but I put a rope over the end of the couch, which tied conveniently to the tie down D rings in the cargo area and drove it right home. Toyota discontinued the Scion line, which is a shame, because I would have bought another when it was time.
