Satisfied
I like my Scion xB. It's a low gas mileage grocery-getter that fits me and my family. While it is small, everyone is often amazed at how much room there is inside. I've only had a few issues with it. The trunk handle is flawed, and mine broke. And the auxiliary plug hasn't worked since I got it. However, it's got a great Pioneer stereo and nothing essential has ever worn out or broken. It's survived a lot of road trips and even a few off-road adventures. It sits very low to the ground, though, so I have to watch out for slopes and scraping the bumper. There's not a lot of storage, but what it does have is sufficient. It also has amazing traction. It’s really good in the snow. My husband even calls it the “snow beast.” Overall, it’s been a nice addition to the family. And everyone who’s ridden in it says they like it.

Reliable and wheelchair ready.
My scion xB is a special case in that it is modified to accommodate my wheelchair. An automatic ramp folds out of the trunk hatch and my chair is secured in the back where the back seat used to be. It is a great substitute for a giant minivan, however I do sometimes wish I had more than one passenger seat. Besides the modifications, the car itself is a regular 2005 xB. It has been very reliable, and I keep it regularly checked at a Toyota dealership to avoid any issues. I have still had to replace the catalytic converter, right front wheel bearing, and numerous other things, but most of the time it has been due to normal ware and tear over 10 years. I like its interior, which is very quiet when the engine is off or idle. The large windows all around give a fantastic 360 degree view. The dash has a nice modern design and is located in a convenient central position for the driver, making it very easy to check and read. It has good pickup, but it can slow drastically when driving up a hill. The turning radius is very sharp, needing only 2.5 to 3 lanes to do a U-turn. The square design wasn't my favorite at first, but now I like how unique it is. Overall I would say it is the best choice of vehicles for me out of the limited options I had, given my disability.

Great little car for city driving
I really liked this car! It was compact and easy to drive, while also fitting five people and luggage. Fuel economy was excellent for its time, and the car was quick while still being fuel efficient. The back seats could fold down, and also the front passenger seat, so that there was plenty of carrying capacity for stuff as well. The fit and trim inside were good enough, but were minimal. The real quality was in the engine and mechanics. During the entire time I owned the car, there was very little maintenance or repairs that had to be done to the vehicle. Overall, I would say this car is a great fit for a young person living in a city.
