When I first got the Scion XB I was kind of upset. I didn't like the box look, and I felt it was low to the ground. However, after months of driving the car it handles very well. The box look grew on me but most of all very dependable. Gas mileage is great, considering I drive 60 miles per way to work. I love how it looks small but can fit quite a lot of stuff, if you put the seats down. One thing I dislike is how my car seat when rear facing takes up a lot of the room. I can't push back my seat due to that. Overall the car is great and drives very good. Where I live the roads are quite bad, but the car handles it nicely. The car is also very user friendly. It only took me a couple of days to get use to the controls. The displayed speedometer is easy to read during the day and at night... (more)
Story
We took the car to go camping when the baby was small, and it was able to hold all our needs. We pulled the car up to our tents and had the trunk open. We sat in the trunk and jammed some music. It was such a great memorable trip.
Pros
The Gas mileage is great. I pump only once a week versus three times compared to my previous car. Fits a lot of stuff with the seats down. The look is unique, although I did not like it at first. Handles pot holes good. The car drives smoothly especially at the pricing point. The price for the car is good.
Cons
If you have a car seat that is rear facing, you lose space to push back your front seats.

When I was looking for a new vehicle I spent a couple months doing research off and on, looking for my next buy. I was looking somewhere around the 12-15k mark and not necessarily looking for a new vehicle. My main concern was the long lasting value (mainly looking at Toyota), gas mileage and look/feel. What I found in my Scion xB definitely blew away my expectations. I came from a Jeep Grand Cherokee so I knew that size-wise I would be downsizing, which I wanted due to my desire for better gas mileage. However, when I first test drove the xB I remember thinking, "Wow! This thing has more power than my Jeep did". The torque was a surprising and fun addition that honestly has become a major "make-it" factor for me about my new car. It also has very spacious interior which I didn't think... (more)
Story
Beating other cars when that green light hits at a stop-light! Also, parking was a BREEZE because of its small size and back up camera.
Pros
Comfort, Speakers, Power/Torque, Smooth/fun ride, Sleek design, Spacious room, Better than bad gas mileage, Toyota-made parts, Back up camera
