The size and shape of the Scion xB is very appealing to my quirky and eclectic sense of style. The interior is roomy enough for five adults and there is enough room behind the seats for "stuff" and groceries and lawn chairs, etc. If I could make it a bit more powerful, I would do it in a second. With a couple of passengers it does fairly well in city traffic and on the highway. I would appreciate more power on the hills, but with its small motor, it doesn't perform as well as I would like. The interior is simple and adequate, the materials have a nice look to them as compared to domestic cars this age. I would like to invest in customizing this cute little car, it's got a lot of potential for paint, trim and custom options. All in all, I hope to have this car for a long time to come,... (more)
Story
The cool thing about my xB is that a lot of other xB owners are nuts about their cars. I've made "friends" in parking lots and drive-thrus all over town. Some of them I've seen are customized a little, others are stock, I've had comments about my "sick rims" from people of different ages.
Pros
Pros are the appearance, the gas mileage, the nice interior, the great speakers
Cons
Small engine

I love our 2004 Scion XB! We've owned it for ten years, and it's still going strong - that's one of the things I love about it. It's great on fuel, pretty comfortable, is basic, and feels safe to drive. It's also pretty zippy for a cylinder. Another thing I love is how big the car feels, even though in reality, it's a pretty small car. I also love the design of the shape; it maximizes space.
Story
When we last moved, we needed to get the last things out of our old house. I had my two (older) kids with me, and our new place was less than a mile away (in a small town). So in the push to get everything out and done, I piled the car as high as I could. I pushed the front passenger seat as far forward as possible and put BOTH girls into that seat (one in the other's lap) while they had stuff... (more)
Pros
It feels high up off the ground like an SUV, but it's really fairly low to the ground. It is incredibly spacious. We have moved 80% of our household (multiple times!) using the car alone. It is reliable.
Cons
Cheaper interior. Lots of road noise when driving. Too low to the ground. Too small for more than four people for any distance.
