The build quality is great for the price. This is generally a given for Toyotas. It just feels well-made compared to other cars in its class. I love how fuel efficient it is. I can easily get 40-50 miles per gallon without any special driving tactics. I used to spend several hundred dollars a month on gas, and now I spend less than a hundred. It's also much easier to maintain than my previous vehicles. The parts don't wear out as easily, and the battery has a very long life. I haven't experienced any issues with key electronic components. I used to spend at least $1,000 per year getting my previous car serviced, but now I spend a mere fraction of that. The biggest cost so far has been new tires.
Story
When going out with friends, we would play "pack the Prius" and see how many of us we could fit in the entire car. I don't remember the maximum number but quite a few people can fit in there.
Pros
I think the biggest pro is the fuel efficiency. It's also very comfortable despite being relatively compact. You can fit a lot in this car, and you can fit this car into a lot of tight spaces. I can fit comfortably fit four passengers for extended trips, and parallel parking is a breeze. I love the displays and keyless fob. Lastly, the back-up camera is extremely useful. I don't know how I lived before without it.
Cons
The car lacks get-up-and-go of non-hybrids. This is most noticeable when you're trying to merge onto highways. If you live in an area that frequently has treacherous driving conditions, such as a lot of snow and icy roads, then this might not be the best vehicle as it lacks 4WD.

2009 Toyota Prius - Reliable and durable. A perfect family car.

I love my Prius. It is cheap to run (~45 mpg), and it is cheap to maintain. I have only put new tires and routine maintenance into it, even though it has 120,000 miles on it. I have never even put brakes on it for the +60,000 miles I've put on it. My only complaint would be its poor performance in the winter. If another car is produced that gets similar gas mileage but is all-wheel-drive, I will make the switch away from the Prius.
Story
Driving to work one day with an open road (no stop-and-go) and averaging 75 mpg. We have a lot of hills and mountains here, and you can drive for miles and miles on electric current if there's no one around to slow you down.
Pros
Very cheap to run. We travel about fifty miles a day and generally put less than seven gallons of gas in the car each week. We live Pennsylvania, a state with one of the highest costs in gasoline, and it is rare that we spend more than $20 per week on gas. In fact, the gas savings from our old car (which got around 12 mpg) was enough to cover most of the payment for the Prius.
Cons
In the winter, the Prius is basically useless. We have a SUV that we drive rarely until Jan-Feb, then we jump back in the Prius. Intend to stay with the Prius until the Tesla 3 comes down in price, or until a Chevy Volt is made in all-wheel drive. I hope Toyota takes a cue and makes a hybrid or electric all-wheel drive car or else it will lose its northern customer base.

They negotiated a fair price. Actually the list price 13000 was pretty fair to begin with, but they allowed me to take it off their hands for a little more than 11 grand. They were very nice and did not pressure me into buying a car today like most other dealerships. Finally, they had decent financing options which made the car affordable for my budget.

This dealership provided some really great customer service. The employees at the dealership were friendly, efficient, patient, and fair. I got a great deal when I traded in my old car. Overall, I felt very comfortable at this dealership and would happily use them again when it came time to purchase a brand new vehicle in the future.
