The Toyota Sequoia SR5 is a fantastic family vehicle. With the 3rd row, there is easily room for eight. Whether the 3rd row is up or down, there is plenty of room for groceries and other necessities in the far back of the vehicle. In addition, the SR5 gives a smooth ride over almost any terrain. The size of the SR5 is perfect - it's not too big or too small.
Story
My Sequoia blends in well with traffic in small-town Iowa or fast-paced Chicago.
Pros
I love the size of the vehicle. My children, my husband, and 3 - 4 others fit comfortably. The quality of the sound system is fantastic. I like the fact that the technology is on par with my expectations - I am able to link my phone and other devices that are Bluetooth enabled.
Cons
One of the things I do not like about this vehicle is the lack of diversity in the avaible colors in the SR5 model - I wanted Buzzard Pearl - and that is only available in the upgraded model when I purchased mine. Another thing I do not like about this vehicle is that I was unable to have automatic hatch open/close in the SR5 model as an option, which I would have liked. In addition, it would be nice if there wasn't an upcharge for leather as an option OR for larger tires in the SR5 model.

I bought this car from my parents, a few years ago with 180k miles on board. Initially my mom got it (new) to use it as a family car and me and my brother learned how to drive using this Sequoia. We got the SR5 trim (leatherette, not too many fancy accessories). I had it in high school and college and now it has 235 000 miles on the clock. The only time it broke down was when one of the on board computers (ecu's) broke, which was a relatively easy and cheap fix. Since then, it has been through many tough winters, it has been registered in many states, ranging from Florida to NY. It's a very reliable car, extremely spacious and very comfortable.
Story
I got stuck in the snow one time (4ft deep) while towing a trailer and all I had to do is put it in 4WD and low , also lock the center diff and it made it out all on it's own without special tires or anything. It's a beast!
Pros
It's a very reliable car, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The maintenance is relatively cheap and does not need much care/ attention to keep it going.
Cons
It only comes with the big 4.7 V8 engine, which is obviously extremely thirsty ( not more than the competitors I suppose). They do not offer smaller engines and/or diesel engines, which would be a much better option for a car this size and purpose.
