Aesthetically it is terrible. The clear coat is really thin, so the paint fades in spots and on the edges. The fake "wood" trim peels off everywhere in the interior. The interior hardware is really sturdy other than the trim and the cover for the front cup holders. The transmission had issues with the torque converter which was a recall, but Honda took care of that. The transmission slipped rarely for a few years after that but works OK seven years later. The engine is a diamond. It won't die on me, even though I wanted it to so the wife would let me get a new car. I really don't treat the engine the respect it deserves. The O2 sensors quit on me eight years ago, and I use nothing but regular gas. Oil change three to four times a year with regular oil. The car runs rich due to my negli... (more)
Story
I faced one situation in 2005 when I was going to Miami, Florida. The car stopped moving. I don't know why this happened. I checked my engine many times. After some time, I found there was no fuel in tank. That situation was very funny!
Pros
As expected, it has an outstanding engine, interior material quality, exterior styling, and loaded with tech features (heated seats, memory seat, Bose speakers).
Cons
If the car were to be brought back, I'd make it a RWD to really be a luxury sports car and add a paddle shifter gear box. The steering and suspension are very sloppy and loose. I'd stiffen the shocks and change steering to rack and pinion.

As to be expected with Acura the build quality is exceptional and the car has stood up over time. The largest issue is making sure one purchases CL with a rebuilt or replaced transmission. The original transmissions were notoriously weak and prone to failure well before 100k miles. Thankfully I did my research and ensured that mine had a manufacturer replaced transmission. This vehicle was a great step up from my first car (97 Nissan Sentra GXE). With an abundance of features including V-TEC V6, twin exhaust, and double wishbone suspension the car rides clean. Interior amenities are excellent as well which is to be expected with a fully loaded luxury vehicle. The GPS is dated by the time of this writing, however the touch screen is easy to use and accurate. Leather adjustable power se... (more)
Story
When I first purchased this car I took it on a short trip to Point Reyes Station CA. The drive out features a fairly windy drive through the forest and it was an absolute thrill to drive through the curves with the sun roof open.
Pros
My favorite features are the powerful yet fairly economic engine, suspension, and interior. I am especially fond of the profile of the vehicle.
Cons
The transmission issues are always something to keep in mind. Additionally the touchscreen control easily glares out during a sunny day. Lastly without proper care the paint tends to oxidize however I have read that this is fairly common in Honda products in general.
