The Acura RSX I have is the base model RSX in the blue color. It has been a good reliable car and has great mileage and decent performance. The car is easy to maintain and cheap to run. The thing I like is it's vtec engine which is economical at low speeds and decent on the highway. There is a lot of aftermarket parts for the car and is a decent car if your into tuning. It is a small interior inside the car.
Story
I used the vehicle to move from Richmond to Norfolk carrying all my items as the car is very roomy when you fold down the rear seats. I've been able to move large items like an Olympic bench press and a treadmill in such a small car.
Pros
I like the customizability, for example, I was able to get a lot of parts like lips, exhaust, electronics, headers and suspension parts for it. For the most part it is easy and cheap to work on. It's also a pretty simple car so most repairs are easy. It has been reliable and I have almost 100,000 miles with only a few minor issues. The size makes it easy to drive and park everywhere.
Cons
Space is a negative as there is only room for two in the back as there is terribly designed center console built into the rear seats. The engine bay is very crowded and getting the oil filter out is a challenge. The fit and finish is not that good and there are things the manufacturer cheaped out on. For one there is a lot of rattling you can hear driving inside the cabin. The things they cheaped out on is the grounding wires, lock actuators and engine plastic trim and tabs. I've had two lock actuators replaced. Also the wheel well guard is not durable.

I bought this vehicle new and at this point would have to say that I would buy a different vehicle if I could go back. Don't get me wrong, there are many positives about it but overall, it just let me down in a few ways. First, from the get-go, it had a problem that would show it's head about every 100 or so shifts where shifting into 3rd gear would be impossible. After I purchased the car, I took it back to the dealership to have them fix the issue and was told that they could not help unless they could replicate the problem. So I left it with them 3 separate times, a week each time and was told each time that the problem could not be replicated. So I lived with the issue. About 5 years later I did some research and other drivers had the same issue and Acura had finally admitted to th... (more)
Story
I was able to have a hitch installed and trek across the country multiple times when moving. The storage space in the car + the trailer that I pulled made it an easy move in a car that no one would ever expect would be used in this way.
Pros
Stylish, fast, decent gas mileage, amazing storage space for hauling when back seats are folded down, good sound system, reliable-still running great after 10 years
Cons
Problems with transmission from the get-go and Acura never helped!, Build quality did not hold up over time on misc parts around the car (not engine), uncomfortable

The RSX was my first nice car, and to this day, it still holds up. The body design, the performance, the comfort, it's all there in this car, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world! If you're comfortable driving manual, this car would appease one's need for speed for sure. It also has the reliability of a foreign-manufactured car being an Acura. The gas mileage might not be great, but this car has yet to fail me. With nearly 200 hp, this car can speed around pretty well for a four-cylinder car.
Story
I remember getting the car and racing my friend in his Mustang on the high way. His car was a little faster than the RSX, but it still felt great just to be able to compete with him after having driven a slow car for so long.
Pros
I think the car is quite stylish, especially with the silver finish I have on mine. The black leather interior is nice, and even 13 years later, it still looks sleek to me. The radio was actually pretty decent, and still today, I don't feel like I'm listening to music on an old car.
Cons
Being that it's a 2005 car, you won't get certain amenities like Bluetooth, as you would with a more modern Acura. The car is a manual, and for those who like simply cruising around without paying much attention, that might not be the right choice for you. The combo of manual shifting and no Bluetooth also means you won't likely be talking on the phone while driving, which is probably for the best anyways.
