Small package, good performance and all about the driving experience.
The Acura RSX is such and underrated car that it is rarely seen on the road. The Type-S trim adds excellent performance in a car that is small and driver focused. Due to the older age of the vehicle, much of the car is about driving and allows the driving to feel connected to the car and connected to the road. The six-speed manual transmission adds an element of excitement when driving. The tachometer reaches 7900 RPMs, which is pure enjoyment as you push the engine to these limits. The car does not have the same modern technology that you would see today but that's the beauty. The pure simplicity makes it fun to drive. From the factory, this car has about 200 horsepower, and you're able to use every bit of it as you fly around town. This car does not have a lot of the modern amenities that you would expect from a luxury brand, like heated seats and even a temperature sensor. However, it allows you to just simply enjoy the drive. This car works as a daily driver and is something that you could even take to the track. The looks of this car hold up to today's modern standards, and it is a vehicle that you will be keeping for a long time. I have no regrets buying this vehicle.

A reliable hatchback for all of your daily needs
The Acura RSX is an reliable, quick and great handling hatchback. It has a really nice modern, sporty look that a lot of cars in the same price range lack. It has a great handling and enough power to get you to your destination. I've driven this car for over a decade and I'm about to hit 200,000 miles. It's still going strong and the styling and aesthetics still seem up to date. The car is a pleasure to drive. I've used it as a commuter and on long road trips.

Great Compact and Sporty
I originally bought this car because of my previous experience with BMWs. After each repair costing at least four digits, I wanted to get something more reliable or at least more common so that it would be less expensive to maintain. Having owned the car for a few years, I've had no major problems and every feature of its maintenance is far cheaper than my previous vehicles. I enjoy driving a small, sporty vehicle, especially since this is the manual version, as it feels agile to drive around in. Another positive about its size is how easy it is to find parking. The exterior of the car is well ahead of its time in design, as the curves are sleek without all the unnecessary edges of today's aggressive-looking cars. The interior is full leather, which is great as a passenger, but the quality of the leather is such that the constant pressure in the driver's seat has caused some tears to develop. The gas mileage for a 2002 car is fairly economical, getting about 28 city/32 highway on average.
