2006 Acura RSX Owner Ratings & Reviews

2006 Acura RSX - The best car I've ever owned
Physically, the Acura RSX looks good, is small and therefore easy to handle in the city and in busy parking lots. With proper maintenance, the vehicle has never given me an emergency situation on a roadway and feels extremely safe when I drive my family around in it. I've never had to worry about the performance of the vehicle and I anticipate that it will be with me even after 200,000 miles.
Story
The hatchback allows for spacious (and safe) trunk. When my child was younger, I could set her in the trunk, change her diaper, and allow her to play for a few minutes while I set up her stroller, organized our things, etc.
Pros
The color of the vehicle is "magnesium metallic," a color I think looks good on a car. It handles very well in the snow and in the rain and is easy to drive, overall. I like the interior as well. The seats are comfortable. They don't get hot in the summer heat, and the hatchback allows for large shopping purchases. Although a compact vehicle, there is plenty of space. I also like that even though the car has only two doors, insurance will still classify it as a "sedan," and I'm not paying a premium for a so-called "sporty" vehicle.
Cons
The leather around the driving wheel has peeled, and there are a few small pieces that have broken inside the vehicle - the change tray as well as the cover for the mirror under the visor. Lastly, the car is low to the ground, so the shocks are not the best. You can feel every bump and dip in the road.
2006 Acura RSX - Excellent Sporty Vehicle
Overall this is an excellent vehicle. I have never had any problems with maintenance in the seven years that I have owned the vehicle. It has a great look, smooth lines and fantastic feel to it. I got the model with a stick shift and love the power the car has, accelerating in and out of turns quite nicely. It has a lot smoother clutch than most other cars and is great for anyone learning how to drive on a stick. The only problem is driving in cities like San Francisco with lots of hills, but fortunately the car is compact enough to fit into just about any space. The car gets excellent gas mileage and while I only use premium I do think it adds the to the overall performance of the vehicle.
Story
We cut down our own Christmas tree last year and fit it in the back by laying the seats down. It smelled like Pine for about a week.
Pros
The car has a very large trunk space for a vehicle of it's size. The back seats even fold down to offer more space. This is extremely useful when we use the vehicle for snow boarding trips where we can fit our boards in the back or to bring home larger objects like a Christmas tree.
Cons
Since this vehicle is a two door it makes it a little difficult to get in the back seats. Also there is very little room in the back seats so the car is effectively a two seater. Another concern is be careful if you lower the car. The bottom will scrape on just about everything and I've had to replace the plastic pieces under neath the car towards the front.
