Already into its second year since a complete redesign, the RDX last year found—compared to the first-generation RDX that preceded it—a 'milder' personality that more shoppers should like. With the first-generation RDX, Acura had been pretty much the first one out the gate among sporty luxury-brand crossovers. It got a few things right—like the just-right size, nimble handling, and attractive design—but it offered plenty of rough spots, too, including a rough ride, laggy power delivery, and surprisingly lackluster gas mileage. The current RDX bucks the former model's turbo four in favor of a large, 3.5-Liter V-6. And although that might seem an odd decision at a time when a number of rivals are dropping their sixes, Acura says that it's actually more fuel efficient, slightly more powe... (more)
Story
Going to the beach in California. Then coming back in the same day.
Pros
Responsive V6 engine Generous rear-seat space Comfortable, quiet ride
Cons
Few driver assistance features

2016 Acura RDX - This is by far one of the best vehicles I have ever owned and I will look for the same brand next time I purchase. I have not had any issues and the safety features are incredible.

The Acura is a smooth riding vehicle with exceptional safety features. I have to say there are not many things I do not like about the vehicle. The seats are very comfortable and the quality of everything, down to the sound system, are second to none. The safety features that especially attracted me to this vehicle include the air bags and braking system. The one thing I would change would be the size of the vehicle. More specifically the width as well as the size of the steering wheel.
Story
This was initially my husbands vehicle and now I drive it full time. The first time I started driving the vehicle I got too close to the vehicle in front of me and the dashboard lit up with big letters that stated, "BRAKE". In addition, the vehicle started to slow down. It was like an out of body experience and scared me to death.
Pros
The top five positive things about this vehicles include navigation system, back up cameras, audio/sound system, braking system and smooth ride. My favorite features include the back up cameras, sun roof and braking system safety features.
Cons
It is hard to discuss negative things about this vehicle since I like it so much. I guess a negative for me would be the size. I would like it a little more spacious in regards to the width and maybe to sit a little higher. In addition, I wish the steering wheel was a little larger.

You can definitely tell that the Acura RDX is a luxury class vehicle. The interior is good quality and the seats and arm rests are really plush and comfortable for long car rides. It drives smoothly and does not make much noise, and it is easy to control. It is also reliable and easy to handle even when driving on snow, I have not experienced much skidding or loss of control. For an AWD vehicle, the gas mileage is decent. The seats are very easy to fold down, and when they are in that position there is quite a bit of storage space in the rear. I have transported many things in there, including an adult bicycle, and on another occasion, a china cabinet.
Pros
The best is how smooth it is and how comfortable it is. We do a lot of distance driving to visit family, so it's important that it handles well. I also like that there is an aux connection so we can connect our media devices. I also love the seat memory so my husband and I can each program a different setting.
Cons
There really aren't many negatives but it does take premium gas so that's more expensive. It also doesn't identify which song is played on the radio, which our other (older) car does.
